Incredibly, given the propaganda, Tiananmen Square didn't happen which we now know thanks to Wikileaks so that's at least 10,000 off your slaughtered list. How do you know that the other figures that you quote aren't a fabrication. Have you read the costs of war for Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Syria and the Yemen?

Sorry I need to vent...I hope that deadbrained c**t that was speeding on the wrong side of the road and killed a young nurse and her brother in western Sydney, dies in gaol.
I have absolute zero tolerance for lawless fckwits who speed in residential or built up areas. The chances of hitting an animal or kid or elderly person are too high to risk driving in that manner. Or heading on an innocent party as in this tragic case.
She went to pick up her younger brother who had finished his shift at Kmart and was almost home. Their poor Mum and family.
Won't elaborate what I'd do to that lowlife given the chance, and yes I know revenge and hate is a wasted negative emotion. But sometimes..
Fmd....how sad.

There’s been a few bad fatalities in Canberra the past few years too. Both victims were young men a similar age to my son - 19-20 year olds. One was driving home from a late shift at work and was hit head on by a drunk driver. The other again late at night hit head on because a bunch of idiots decided it was a great idea to race each other down a main road .so the car was speeding on the wrong side of the road and the young driver didn’t stand a chance. I understand your anger Jack. It really p**** me off too. Oh and that lunatic bus driver I forgot about that one too.
The thing is, it is so unnecessary and preventable. Lifes tough enough without launching friggin missiles on the road and playing Russian roulette with peoples lives.
Speed kills. These people should never have the right to be in charge of a motor vehicle.
I understand, in the case I referenced, the 3 occupants of the offending vehicle just walked away unscathed. Not even checking on the the other parties and the damage they caused. And videoing their getaway and later eating takeaway and posting online.

What about the Libs? How could any working class voter contemplate a party that opposes employee rights? The employers of Uber drivers and food delivery riders have turned back the clock on Union won awards to the point where the delivery guys risk life and limb for a pittance.
Of course the general public, the sentimental Aussie fair go mob don't care about their fellow workers as long as there is to be money saved and they can't be blamed given that Corporations rip them off routinely.
That's the nature of Capitalism pit one side against the other and profit from the surplus value of their labour.

What you need to know - The government has put forward an offer to vary the existing Teachers Award until October 2024 and negotiate a new consent award for the following 3 years.
- The agreement will see the introduction of a new 7-step pay scale with graduating teachers starting on $85,000 and experienced teachers earning up to $122,100.
- School counsellors will also receive significant salary increases.
- We will continue to work with the NSW Teachers Federation on critical actions to address teacher workload and other matters.

In trying to get people to care about warmongering and imperialism what we’re really trying to do is get people to widen their circle of compassion to the furthest extent possible. To extend their care for the people around them to include caring about violence and abuse against people even on the other side of the world.
Everyone cares about themselves. Everyone who isn’t a malignant narcissist cares about their friends and immediate family. Once you start caring about your community you’re generally thought of as a decent person, and when you care about your whole country you’ll be regarded as compassionate and politically aware. Rarer than all these is having compassion for everyone in the world, and feeling the same about someone being killed by one of your government’s soldiers in an impoverished country overseas as you would about someone being killed by police brutality in your own neighbourhood.
