I agree with the majority of the article.

I saw a interview with the son in law of one the 2 hostages that the IDF rescued from hamas 3 days ago. While he was obviously relieved to have his father in law back he called on the Israeli government to stop the ground offensive and negotiate to get the other 120 or so hostages back and pointed out the living hell for all the families who are kept in limbo.

A similar scenario exists with the Senate Republican-negotiated bipartisan border control bill, touted by Republican Senators as their most significant and effective border control bill to date. Putin thinks the Soviet Union still exists, and somehow it's Moscow's right to pick and choose the governments of other countries. He doesn't comprehend that these countries, as sovereign states, have the right to apply to join any organisation they so wish, whether it be NATO or the EU.

I know very little about Navalny apart from his Western style "liberal" movement being a haven for Nationalists and Russian Nazis and his conviction for fraudulently misusing contributions by his movement's followers. I do, however, presume that in times when Russia has been reclaimed from the depredations of the West that we saw in the early 90s and the West is doing everything it can to reverse that, that he was more than likely a stooge of the CIA and of MI6. Who funded him? Oh yeah, freedom lovers.

After Maidan Stepan Bandera was resurrected as a national hero by the new incumbents and with that the torchlight parades and celebrations of a past that included the first holocaust - 2 million Jews shot to death. The Infamous Azov battalion with its Nazi salutes and insignia being inducted into the Uke defence force is further evidence.

Surely there's nothing paranoid about not wanting a hostile military alliance arrayed on your border. Was the US "paranoid" about missiles in Cuba in 1960?
