Jeez....the curse of the Fisherfolk....Nobody got anything to day about Roberts- Smith? I've never heard of most of these places - Tuross, Stuarts Head, Grassy Point.....are they anywhere near Coonabarabran?

I'm also a bit short on patience with the older folk who wait until everything is checked (at any supermarket) before assembling their payment - the long search through the coin compartment and/or the inability to get the phone payment happening. I hope that you're not in that category MR? At least I know that I've reached my tech limit with the quote function but that doesn't stop me from hectoring from the end of the queue at every baulk of a phone payment - "C'mon...use your card you old....!"

Then down in the carpark, the same old duffers do the 12 point turn to extricate themselves from their bay, moving just 30 cms with each turn. These are our older Sheeple, well lampooned in Barry Humphries' creation, Sandy Stone.

Lol Paddo…no I refuse to use my phone to make payments. My daughter does that. It’s a new generation thing I thought using an app or digital wallet. She groans at me when I tell her I’ll stick to my card thanks. She says I’m far more tech savvy than her father though.

That's really offensive. I have sensory issues PC and know I'm not the only one on here..

Patience is a virtue PC. You should try it sometime...

Also, yes I don’t use the phone as I’m legally blind. There are techniques I can use to get around these issues though but using cash and a card is much easier and faster in public. At home I can use a magnifying glass and the largest font I need to see the text on a computer screen.

"Sensitivity issues" I think you mean RWB. "Sensory" is "of the senses" - sight, taste, hearing etc. Anyone with sensitivity issues doesn't belong on this site, after all the membership relishes the prospect of gladiatorial conflict for 6 months of the year - it's not a Wellness site fgs.

I do know that Jax is a late adopter of the Wellness philosophy with its message of goodwill to all so he must be the other one that you allude to.

Planning another trip down Tuross way but might just hit the rocks and beaches down towards Narooma next time. Salmon and a few Taylor should be on offer.

You knew exactly what I meant Paddo..don't try your BS on me..it doesn't work.

Sensory impairment is when one of your senses; sight, hearing, smell, touch, taste and spatial awareness, is no longer normal. Examples - If you wear glasses you have a sight impairment , if you find it hard to hear or have a hearing aid then you have a hearing impairment. - This is what I have (visual) so therefore cannot use a smart phone. Those who know me in person from here know that I carry a basic Nokia.

WTF does Jack have to do with my post either? Sheesh..someone asked me the other day what a forum was like..I said imagine wandering into a room full of stale cigarette smoke and then wandering back into it a few months later and still smelling the same old same old...this place has sadly lost it's lustre...

Now in return, you have to eat a green vegetable...

Why do you ask? Yes I do. But I can barely see it but still need it for emergencies to contact people, receive calls etc. I prefer to use a PC with a big screen and modified settings and my iPad mini at home as I can enlarge the screen and use a magnifying glass. Also the smartphone can be handy for taking photos of signs and menus that are on walls etc which I can then enlarge to see - wish they had such a thing at school as I could never read the blackboard. I was born with my condition and there’s more to it than just being legally blind which I will not go into. I have had glasses since I was 18 months old and they do not correct my vision at all - I’m still legally blind even with glasses on as they only help slightly and they block out glare. I could go on and on about how difficult it was going through mainstream school and not just from fellow students but some of the useless disrespectful teachers.

I asked because another said they couldn’t use one due to sight issues and I know you have mentioned your own sight issues on here So I was wondering if you also were unable to use a smart phone like the other poster

Yes, like I said I wish the smartphone was invented when I went to school as it would have been handy to take a photo of the blackboard and then enlarge the screen with the fingers so I could actually read what the teacher wrote on there. I had one teacher who didn’t give a stuff that I couldn’t see the board despite the fact I was a very good student and went out of my way to prove him and others like him wrong by going to university. I would love to bump into him one day and show him what I achieved with zero help from him. He’s probably dead now though lol. But anyway I digress.

Have had some of my best catches in the harbour,, it's amazing what that waterway has turned up over the years. Just happy at the moment to take the hand lines down and catch a few leatherjackets but will probably wait now for the warmer spring weather to kick in.interesting by catch while fishing for jackets have been goat.fish which are almost identical to the red mullet , bloody good eating..
