By using the word "our" instead of "ours" you immediately impose/invent segregation. We are already one, not a divided entity....any rule book is for all, and all are represented by the systems of government as we speak. That's just a fact.

You gotta move into 2023 big fella, it's not 1788 anymore.

      • Can't see Aukus being debated Count for reasons well set out in this piece by a former academic and ALP rank and file member. Another situation where the Sheeple are mushrooms - kept in the dark and fed on bullshit.

The ALP is terrified of the Murdoch media. As I say, 60% don't trust it but 40% do.

The problem is that the US creates the strife. Malcolm Fraser said words to the effect of Australia only has a security because of the connection to the US - that's that loopy radical Mal Fraser.

We could live in splendid isolation down here, we're not even a blip on the international radar. The World would know more about Greenland than they would about Oz but there is this militaristic streak, purposely fed by Anzacery, that endures, a right wing scare mongering security establishment which is in thrall to the US (Not for nothing did Keating call them "ning nongs") and a warmongering near monopoly right wing MSM controlled by an American citizen.

                  • You’re right King, chop chop!

Atlanta is somewhat the African - American capital of the USA that we seem so enamoured with. It’s important for you to highlight this to us mere Aussies as a way forward of bringing harmony to all by empowering the vilified.

Did you not read the thread at #288?

Here is a more detailed critique by academics in an open letter. It's good to know what we're bargaining for.

For starters, the country would save $368b for long range thubs that we don’t really have a use for. But coincidentally the mob we are buying them from do have a use for and they would like us to operate them for them. Subcontractor submariners if you like.

I’m not sure about you but I could sure find better things to spend that dosh on. Maybe things that would ease the cost of living ultimately enhance Australians life.

Security from what? If we stay out of the messes that the US create to control the world, we’re sweet.

You wanna pick a side? How bout when you were on team JFC and also team rwb? I’m pretty sure you’ve moved on from those affiliations. Sometimes it’s best to roll solo

Look here jacket, there’s nothing more irritating than a former addict/believer espousing the virtues of what they were once consumed by and not acknowledging their past affiliations.
