Sure if you bat long you can put on a total but if fiddling around and not really scoring then lose a few wickets your going nowhere scorecard wise.

Which has happened as Australia lose 2 quick wickets

    Now 4/127

Not saying they copy England " Bazzball" Wise but your a sitting duck if batting to survive and not scoring.

At 2.22 per over it will take Australia almost 128 overs to make 283

Oh FFS surely you realise we don’t have to push for a result here But just in case you have forgotten Australia is up 2-1 and do not need to win so they do not need to force the game

I’m hoping we’ll be around 200 by Tea with no more wickets down.

Smith and the tail did well to dig us out of a hole and give us a slim lead and we've put some miles in their quicks legs, disappointed in giving Root 2 wickets to sucker balls.
Catches win matches and we dropped 5 and they took some screamers. Early on in the series we were taking them and they were putting them down.
Would be fitting if we get another nail biter to close the series.

Great to see the tail wag and the Aussies end up in front of them after the first innings. No doubt they’ll whinge about the Smith non runout though. But it looks like it’s going to be another tight game and we just need to stop their bazball tactics in the second innings now. I would love to see these tactics implode and lead to a batting collapse. Oh and I’m glad it’s Saturday and I can sleep in a bit longer!

Not a great day for Australia so far. We need a quick and major batting collapse.

Tonight we'll see if Australia deserve to keep the ashes.

This will be Warner's last test match.

I don’t think the weather is going to come to the rescue this time.

rain forecast but looks like we'll have to bat for more than a day at least. the team said they were going to england to win the series and now they've got a chance to show how much they want it.
watched until lunch last night and it looked a good batting wicket. obviously a big ask and if england win then fair enough but i'm hoping our boys do their best

Usman needs to look at ways to get off strike more as he tends to get bogged down a tad too much.

Doesn't need to do anything rash but knock it around for singles which then makes the opposition change their field and plans

Solid start from the openers and given us a chance in what is a very big total to run down.
