Marnus and big Mitch were terrific albeit with the help of the weather which took the shine off the ball once it travelled to the outfield a couple of times. Any Aussies in Manchester should be washing their cars so it keeps raining and we can retain the ashes.

On Nine news they just claimed the rain had stopped and the outfield was fairly dry and play is likely to commence early in the day. Who knows! Hopefully they are very wrong.

Yesterday they could play to 7:30 pm Manchester time to bowl the required 59 overs - 4:30 am Sydney Time in the 4th Men's Ashes Test

So still time for a result if any play is possible weather permitting unless of course the umpires abandon play for the day.

The Men's Ashes will then be retained like the Women's Ashes was by Australia

Australia then a chance to win the series in the 5th Men's Ashes Series

Matilda's need to improve next game vs Nigeria in the FIFA Women's World Cup

Must be a 3 game series as well in the Women's State of Origin

Agree. We got our of jail in that game due to the weather. Stokes should have declared earlier. Another 60-90 minutes of bowling at the Aussies and they may well have won. But I love listening to them whinging none the same.
