                  Yes and those K Tel records at the time used to edit a lot of the songs so they could squeeze more onto the albums.
                  Had to laugh as a few of the songs advertised are on my IPOD but i can assure you Welcome Back and Disco Duck are not on my IPOD .

                      I do remember that actually, songs that were faded out suddenly well before the end.

                                Yes. I’m not sure if it was a K Tel record or not, but I had an early 80s compilation on vinyl as a teen (still have it actually) which included the Fischer Z song So Long. I went a whole decade or so thinking the song only had 2 verses because the third verse was completely chopped from the recording. When I first heard the third verse in my early 20s I was totally taken aback.
