With those syndicates though, you can have more "owners" within the individual group or name that goes in the book. Looking at your ownership list that might be the case? Especially in those expensive neddys. e.g. you could have 5% but could have 10 extra people in your group.
Yes you can but only Twenty can be listed. Yes I know of two syndicated within that have multiple owners FTR I have 5 percent outright

I thought the girl rode it good (I said to Mrs Walker and my Daughter at about the700 this is going to be in the finish here as when the fabv moved forward we followed going that well it almost got on its heels) she was on the favourites back throughout and got the cart through. Also I’d been watching the races there that day and there was rain and they were moving away from the fence so I knew the run would come.
He’s won better races than that Actually finished 5th to Tiger Moth (2nd in a Melbourne Cup ) btn 2 lengths in Ireland. He has ran third in a group 3 in Australia and has a win over Lunar Flare who is one of the early favourites for this years Melbourne Cup. For now I just hope they place it relative to its ratings as if do he will win again soon

Exciting...and the trip obviously short of his best too.

Funny you mention the trip being short of its best I’d butted heads with the previous trainer e who had him as a died in the wool stayer. I have always thought his best range is 2000-2400. But I did say I thought he could run well and even win over a mile first up. A comment that did not really go down well with the previous trainer at the time I know the horse form wise inside out I’d marked him suitable for Aus racing in 2019/2020 after his first start which he ran third in over a mile and then tracked him all the way through in Ireland

He was suited yesterday down in class and maybe he will never win over that trip again, but I wouldn’t rule it out. It did though make the win a little sweeter, that along with a few people bagging the horse when things weren’t going his way

To me he’s part of my family I love the horse it’s been a long trip with him going back four years now from when I first started tracking him with highs and lows in between. After a run of outs like that you start to worry have we lost the horse In saying that there were two races he should have won in that period where he was ridden poorly. Hopefully he is back on track and like you say he is with a good trainer so we might get a few more winning days yet

Stokesy is a top horseman no doubt, but I'll bet he hasn't got a Sis like your previous trainer

Simon (the late other half) and his brother used their law degrees combined with their passion for horses up on the Gold Coast to help their Dad for many years. Even did some work for the Magic Millions. as everyone needs good lawyers..Then they came into my shop once (they met Andy in there as well that day ironically) looking for ties to wear to Randwick as they’d been based in Sydney by then for a few years. That’s why his ashes are scattered around not only Kirra but up around the track as well. Close to where my family’s Gold Coast Crematorium is too, so that brings me comfort.

I remember telling you how Max Presnell and his wife adopted me as one of their ‘children’ and I’d go around for dinner as they are based in Waverley. He’d always want me to order him a red and green tie as he was the Rabbitohs number one ticket holder at that time and i said no as that is a fashion ‘don’t..

Through having grown up with it in my family as well with their horse racing interests in Toowoomba, it’s always an exciting time when it all goes well. My brother in law always looks out for Andy’s horse as he had told me to always remember Josh Mansour if I forgot the name..easy to remember as that’s a Lebanese surname..Congratulations again to Tara’s many owners…..the news really has made my next couple of days much brighter..I’m up again with pain tonight but still can find a song for Andy and the other owners..

              time for some 70’s hip wriggling…Everyone’s A Winner…

Did you just try to belittle Mr. Waker's success. Did you just try to pump your own tyres? Shame.

Congratulations Andy. Can you tell us a bit more about what owning horses is like. I imagine it has to be a tough business. My Dad used to deal with Gai Waterhouse a bit on behalf of his boss who had money.

Thanks JB There is nothing quite like owning a winning horse Got a good collect the other day I generally don’t tip horses When I was a kid working with them a trainer I worked for would say Don’t tip them you get nothing if they win snd you will get bagged when they get beat.

Apologies for the delayed response. Voods. Yes I’d say she did but she is bitter that bagging the horse like she did last year it came back to bite her Just in the nick of time as well by the sounds of things. Her response to it was priceless and made me laugh hard.

As for blowing her own trumpet. A yes again. In fact this poster in another thread some time back took the credit for when this horse was in winning form by saying her positive thoughts manifested his wins. A complete load of rot as she was told by myself before the horse reached Australia it would win races early on as it was a better horse than the rating it had. Nonetheless it was amusing to see her claim this

Owning racehorses is great more so when they are winning It can be frustrating when things go wrong or not the way you would like But when they do win that over rides the frustration. It isn’t cheap but that depends on what you buy of how much of a share you buy, but these days it’s within reach of a lot of people due to syndicates being formed. If you want more specifics on it send me a PM and I will respond

You gotta have a laugh have fun and try not to take yourself too seriously. When I was in my mid twenties it was a pretty low point of my life, but by the same token amongst those lows there were also some very funny times Highs lows good times bad times. In life none of those are permanent When things are going good enjoy the ride When they are not keep a sense of humour and take things one day at a time, even in some cases if needed one hour at a time. This works well for me.

I thought you being a keen form student and your wise comments about how he had a bit on them last win would have followed or black booked him

Also I didn’t want to break a winning formula by spruking the The Great Taramansour pre race

I shall spend a link to the race tomorrow As currently I’m at the pub with family drinking beers beers and more beers Oh and of course dinner

I do have a 'blackbook' with Sportsbet but was too silly to include him.

I appreciate any hesitance to 'tip' your own horse, it can be a no-win situation, pardon the pun.

We used to have a syndicate of 6 of us when I lived in the bush (called the 6 Pack ). Owned a few, our best neddy won 7 races up the country.
Never made it to the smoke despite my urgings. Holy Shit though did we paint some towns red....great times.

                                Enjoy the sip.
