Hope he has a good blow and pulls up well. And as you said stranger things have happened. When you trust your television

There once was a horse from Ireland
Who galloped so fast like on fire
But then it came unstuck
And ran out of luck and now sits in in the paddock and mire
There was an Irish horse named Taramansour
winner of 4 races and should win more
the owner doesnt fret
as he had a large bet
the first time he did scoreLast edited by Andrew Walker; 01-11-2025, 05:59 PM.When you trust your television

Taramansour ran a great second today in the Australia Day Cup being run down late after taking off at the 800 metre mark and circling the field Proud of him but a bit deflated we didn’t win as he beat the rest home easily

Whens he in next? Last start was a very good run- the 5 kg pull in the weights to the eventual winner was the difference. I notice he gets a freshen-up after 2 races close together—normally that is associated with an injury that needs to be managed rather than repaired....in any event he certainly tries his guts out which is probably why he has finished in the top 3 in 20 of his 40 starts

He’s running this Saturday in Adelaide in The Lord Reims Stakes and if all goes well will run again 16 days later in The Adelaide CupLast edited by Andrew Walker; 02-18-2025, 08:56 PM.When you trust your television

Grand Pierro has been flying although it’s drawn out wide also The Map is a good horse having won this race last year being placed in last years Adelaide Cup and also winning a Ramsden at Flemington ( auto qualifier for Melbourne Cup ) It’s form in spring was not flash and its last run to me was inconclusive although late on it was getting to the line However Silent Surrente who is also a chance in the race ( but drawn wide out as well ) outsprinted him last time out and hit line hard it has solid form lines and has to be a chance Throw in Beltoro whose racing consistently ( albeit it hadn’t won in its last 19 goes ) Gotta Go Guru has won impressively its last few but this is a much tougher and when you consider some of those wins have been off very slowly run races it’s a real query at the trip
Apart from the Maher factor I find it very strange how Goldenstatecwarrior is the same price as Grand Pierro it’s not well in under the weight scale was beaten in a weaker race last time out. Perhaps along with Taramansour it drifts in the market as the bookmakers percentages drop closer to the race
There are a few slow ones in it who on form appear to have little to no chance of winning, and I think we are a winning chance but the current price is poisonous betting wise. Long term you go broke backing horses at that price from wide gates but some do still win from wide gates. Hoping Taramansour is one of themWhen you trust your television
