Thats simply the main reason. It's out of a sense of egalitarianism and not wanting to enshrine victimhood in our founding document for any Aussie.

Thats from talking to and interacting with a lot of people in the week leading up to polling day. And talking with indigenous friends, family and colleagues.

You've got it wrong mate. Or moreso the Yes architects are showing no humility or sense of cooperation post referendum, and trying to build false division that just doesn't exist. They are poor representatives of their people. Need to be better.

Jacinta proposed a RC into sexual abuse in Indigenous remote communities last week, and the Greens, Labor and Pocock opposed it. Wiow, just wow only days after a referendum. She was in tears later. I hope the bastards don't grind her down.

You seem a little bitter and misguided. I probably wont engage much further with you on this.
Further proof this was nothing to do with improving the lives of Aboriginals. These virtue signalers really don't give a shite.

Anyone who believes Albo or the Corporations truly cares about Aborigines is a gullible fool...

Yes but you forgot to mention in response to her repeated calls for a Royal Commission a joint statement backed by more than 100 community Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations called for the safety of children to “not be politicised or used as a platform to advance a political position”. The fact remains that nationally that most violence and abuse towards Aboriginal people is by non-Aboriginal people....but hey lets concentrate on issues that demean the Aboriginal male not implicate any others.

No problems about not engaging any further on the topic with me. It was just my feelings now the referendum has been and gone- i didn't mean to offend

            • Yes voters are either stupid, virtue signallers or both. Most Australians saw right through this BS. Mayo and co had $$$$$$$ signs rolling around in their eyes, they thought they won the jackpot until the smart Australians stepped in and stopped it in it's tracks. Every state voted NO. Yeah FUK off Albanese, cretin of the highest order.

I’m not a virtue signaller and I’m certainly not dumb, but thanks anyway for the critique. I have not abused any no voters either.

                  • I voted NO.
                    Why?
The referendum was clearly, once everything was researched, all about "Voice, Treaty, Truth".
Albo was photographed wearing a T shirt with same emblazoned on it.
                    "Voice, Treaty, Truth".
The Uluru Statement was discovered to be 26 pages, not just one page as "dear ol Albo" kept insisting.
Even some Indigenous elders kept saying that's what the Uluru Statement is.
First step a Voice, then a Treaty, then Truth ...the Truth being reparations, and sovereignty (absolute power, absolute authority).
All this enshrined in the Constitution.
                    *
Also "dear ol Albo" had same,"Voice, Treaty Truth" written on his own Website!
...well until Peta Credlin on Sky News showed the world it was, then it seemed to disappear.
                    *
Indigenous people were not rejected by NO voters.
What was rejected by them was "dear ol Albo's" refusal to give exact details of what his Voice would be, and how it would work in practice nonsense.
                    Would it be:
. A third chamber of govt, House of Reps, Senate, Voice?
                    *
"If you don't know, vote NO" was a very wise campaign slogan, and a very wise thing for people to do.

                      • Australia would've been in a world of trouble if the voice rubbish got up. I don't respect anyone who voted yes. They were too busy telling everyone how righteous they were by voting yes and too stupid not to see the bigger picture, well thank fuk that common sense won. the dummies have absolutely no platform to sprout their bs and when Albanese gets his arse handed to him at the next election, Australia will be able to get back on track under a liberal government.

You may not be but there are plenty in Canberra who are hence the only place in the country to have a majority YES result.

OH RT What is it about Canberra ? I seem to recall you having your own virtue signalling moments on other matters.

PS I find it amusing to see this term now being widely used on here
                              When you trust your television
what you get is what you got
Cause when they own the information
they can bend it all they want

Thanks BB. You voiced your opinion without abusing or labelling the other side.
The point is we all had our reasons for voting how we did. No need to call people dumb or a virtue signaller or woke. Especially dumb that is particularly rude. I happened to put a lot of thought into how I voted. The No vote won. Please be dignified in your victory people. If the best you can come up with is you’re dumb or go suck s*** losers etc, then it’s a very sad situation.
