I joined the New York Times opinion forums.
First Amendment free speech, ...and some Americans used every grain of it, to say whatever they liked, including verbally abusing anyone and everyone they wished.
I tried the "Race Relations" forum...yikes!!!
I tried the "Middle East" forum...triple yikes!!!
I tried the "Drugs" forum...and wrote "say no to drugs". Luckily it was only verbal abuse I received. lol

It was there, at the NYT that my skin turned into thick skin like a crocodile.

The Yes camp seems to be having a difficult time coming to terms with their loss.
No doubt they were genuine in their belief that by voting Yes they'd be helping Indigenous people...because that's what their 'captain, coach, and ballboy' Albo was telling them.

After their loss, many including Albo seem to be blaming *everybody* else, ...No voters, the media, etc.
"Old people" got the blame...."young people voted Yes, old people voted No"....then this pearler..."there should be an age cap on voting, "old people" won't be around for long so they shouldn't be able to vote".
Also, "there should be 'voluntary voting' not 'compulsory voting'...blaming 'compulsory voting' in part for their loss.

I would have been happy if only First Nations people voted on this, but alas, the Constitution doesn't allow it.

I think your posts sum up the No Vote misinformation campaign perfectly.

It was pretty clear that it was an advisory group and that parliament was not bound in any way, shape, or form, to implement via legislation or government policies any of the Voice recommendations.

And the High Court cannot overturn statute laws made by Parliament or force Parliament to enact any statute laws from any recommendations from any group, including the Voice.

Electorate education levels, household income, birthplace, and age were key factors.

Anyway, there are other ways to get this through before a future second referendum: state and territory governments treaties and voices to parliament.

For instance, the Minns government has a mandate for this from the last state election.

Whether it takes another 5 or 10 or 15 years, it will be enshrined in the constitution.
