Not at all JFC as the Colonial Powers have never addressed their sordid Colonial Histories and treatment of FNP.

It may be convenient for white people to ignore it like it never happened, but would they if the shoe was on the other foot? I very much doubt it.

I think if Albo was smarter, he could have said if it was a yes vote, then there would be an additional public holiday, as I am sure that would have swung a few more to vote yes.

Most voters didn't have a clue what they were actually voting on, but to give them a sweetener such as an additional public holiday would have made a difference.

Not even the No campaign of lies and misinformation could counter that.

There needs to be a serious discussion about the 26th of January being maintained as Australia Day or Invasion Day as well.

Woah Salvo. How to set alight this thread.

Indeed I did Mighty One. I was thinking it might refer to a drop by those "Bikie mates" of Jax's. When I heard the revelation that he was connected to organised crime and apparently willing to bash some irritating aboriginal person three out, the little respect that I had for Jax's opinions evaporated. The whole RSL thing made sense - meth amphetamines, coke, Ice freely available and then launder the dough through Keno, a one-stop shot.

No, we can't have a member with criminal associations sneering at the King for stating the obvious (it was "shameful) or persecuting you, MR, for a sincere and troubled process leading to your Yes decision. That's not "virtue signaling" but the pack was onto Izzy (whose stand was admirable) and you were collateral - wrong place, wrong time.

I’ll let your first paragraph sneak through to the keeper. But thanks for the support in the second.

You are totally delusional and nothing more than a trouble making troll. You are like the ball on a pinball machine… bouncing around the entire deck trying to find a way in the hole. You don’t get an auto re-launch sunshine.

The skin colour gets a run again I see.

Two points with your proposal :
                    (1) if the day was changed , would the protesters celebrate the new day for all Aussies i.e. colonial descendants, immigrants and those with aboriginal ancestry? Not bloody likely, and they would move to the next manufactured "issue".

                    (2) The identity politic brigade who championed the 'Voice' now move on to their next non-issue that makes shit-all practical difference to any disadvantaged person. Whilst ignoring Senate support for preventing child abuse in indigenous communities and where the billions have been wasted to prevent proper closing the gap.

Seriously you are embarrassing yourself, unless you are trolling as RT suggests.

It means sally is trolling and just trying to stir up the racial divide at a time where we all should be coming together.

Paddo, tell me that you didn't expect a straight answer.....like this goon is as dumb as dogshit....the resident Chookpen "Village Idiot". I don't typically attack the man, but old Rocky is an exception because it's the only language he speaks and vaguely understands. Wait for the reply, it will be a humdinger....

You are far from the sharpest tool in the shed, but you are a tool, never the less.

It was never ever about reparations of any sort, and just more examples of the Bollocks and misinformation spread by the No Campaign, which was believed hook line and sinker by the less educated like you.

Obviously, you have absolutely no idea about the functions of either Parliament or the High Court or what is meant by the term separation of powers when it relates to the law.

To simplify it for you in the simplest way possible, Parliament makes the laws, and the High Court interprets and applies the laws. 101 Australian Constitution Law

The State, territory, and local governments have no power under the Commonwealth Constitution to enter into treaties you mention relates to international treaties and not domestic treaties - 101 Australian Constitutional Law

States and territories can legally enter into domestic treaties with FNP (First Nation Peoples).

It should worry everyone that people like you have the vote.
Lol...looks like someone is a bit triggered here today...tick tick

White sheets were all sold out i heard, to peeps wearing "Yes" T-shirts...yep that racist group who wanted to divide by race...wanting special race based privilege. Don't need to be a rocket scientist to know which group was racist.

No, no mis-information only missing information (i.e. like the details) in the plan of lying Albo.

reparations of any sort??? Already seen WA heritage laws...$160 per hr just for a farmer to dig a hole on his own land...see vid
                            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylVDsx1aGlU

The Voice was a trojan horse to easily by-pass parliament...u obviously too gullible and naive to the world to see these things.

                            Complete BS...perhaps read this

Do the states have the power to make treaties?

Though the Constitution does not expressly provide for an alternative to the Article II treaty procedure, Article I, Section 10 does distinguish between "treaties" (which states are forbidden to make) and "agreements" (which states may make with the consent of Congress).

Perhaps next time u go out to vote, remember to remove ur face mask first before wearing ur ku klux klan outfit...the asphyxia is affecting ur tiny little brain..

                                Yep, great example to follow.....NOT....

Bob Hawke said in 1988 “In Australia there is no hierarchy of descent; there must be no privilege of origin” - so is the ex-ALP Prime Minister also a racist and male, pale and stale?
