in the US for example, the Sheeple tend to look to Right Wing populists for change unaware, it would seem, that the agenda of Trump and Co. Is ultimately self serving and fascist.

What about a China model where the ruling elite does work for the peeps, the evidence being the, unprecedented in human history, lifting of millions from poverty, an achievement that would not have been possible without the concomitant achievement of universal education. What could compare with that? No wonder over 90% of its citizens are content.
