Yep it's clearly an invasion now (with the true goal of speeding up their plans to take-over).

(Un)fortunately I think that 'the west' has learned from past experience that getting involved in such situations is not only deeply unpopular... it's unlikely to achieve anything.

It's almost as if the times of general uncertainty have presented as an opportunity for those who were waiting to attempt land grabs to march in and do it.

It's like you see the West as some sage old council which is always selflessly concerned with what it can do to help other nations under threat from minority troublemakers. An undeniable force for good, the US wants to lead all of us to those sunlit uplands of human fantasy. It's poppycock, though the same fantasy is shared by many having been actively promoted by Western media which you also view in the most favourable light imaginable.

In the Middle East, a land, Palestine,was annexed into the British Empire in September 1923 for the sole purpose of meeting wartime guarantees to Zionists that there would be a post war Jewish homeland created there. The racist Brits decided that on behalf of the Palestinians. In a short time the immigrant European Jews came to the conclusion that the locals were simpletons protected by British law so a terrorist campaign spearheaded by the infamous Haganah set about forcing Israeli independence. Far worse atrocities, than those we see today, were perpetrated by the Haganah. Thus began the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian population that is on full display at the moment.

The West hasn't "learned from experience" it created the situation IN THE FIRST PLACE and the US has long since built and fortified a Western nuclear armed outpost to protect its oil interests in the ME. It's not reluctant to get involved, it's already involved, up to the eyeballs.

Elsewhere, it also hasn't "learned from experience", concocting, as it did the WMD lie to once again, protect its oil interests in Kuwait and, later, to use NATO to topple Gaddafi who planned, and was well on the way to creating, a Pan African Bank.

This whole sorry saga now playing out in Gaza and on the West Bank where over 200 Palestinian youths have been murdered by opportunistic settlers, is an indictment on Western media as is the Ukraine situation. Yours is just a Cool Aid rehash of America, always well intentioned but sometimes a maker of honest mistakes.

They were attacked and we haven't heard the end of 9/11. It has become this massive tragedy throughout the West. What balls they've got after 2 A-bombs on civilians not to mention the millions dead in other theatres. Of course your average goose buys it seemingly unaware that they've been at war for 90% of the time since independence. And Britain is just as bad - the most violent nation of the 19th century.
