As I’ve said before on here some time back this matter is extremely complicated and there are two sides to this

There is a reason the entire free world supports Israel, including the country you live in.Last edited by Thirteen; 10-10-2023, 08:43 PM.

Ever since I was old enough to understand it I have grappled with the futility and morality of what goes on there for decades on end now. Two sides with religious claims to the same land. One dispossessed. Both sides causing deplorable atrocities and terror on innocent victims mostly children and women. I’m expected to take sides. I can’t. The whole thing is morally repugnant to me. Senseless death and suffering is all I see. It makes me sick.

Sheer horror’: Babies, children murdered
Hamas militants have murdered at least 40 babies and children in a single town, with some of them found beheaded.
Israeli soldiers said they discovered the horrifying aftermath in the town of Kfar Aza, near the border with Gaza.
“I’ve been talking to some of the soldiers, and they say what they’ve witnessed as they’ve been walking through these houses, these communities – babies, their heads cut off. That is what they said,” i24 News journalist Nicole Zedek reported, her voice shaking.

People read a link and think they understand this conflict. Hahahahahahahahaha.
Don't argue the who started it when paragliders fly in and gun down hundreds of kids.
It makes you look stupid. Just condemn every single act of terrorism as abhorrent and maybe we start getting somewhere. If the world keeps looking for justification because of retaliation basis no matter what the side then we will never get anywhere with this conflict. In reality I don't think we will but we are no hope if we keep going down the retaliation path to justify acts of terror.Last edited by The Lip; 10-11-2023, 07:30 AM.

Clover Moore, almost alone, showed sane leadership re the Opera House gathering and Minn's controversial decision to colour the sails in blue and white - "Leave flags out of this", she correctly warned. Israel has hardly a leg to stand on when it comes to atrocity but the ALP is shit scared of Murdoch media and the field day it would have if even a neutral position was expressed by government, Murdoch being the World's number one apologist and supporter of Israel.
Today, his Wall Street Journal is running the "revelation" that Iran helped plan Hamas' co-ordinated attack despite official US denial that such is the case. He is an unconscionable warmonger and it is from him that every one of Jaxie's opinions come. Don't let Mr. Crocodile tears influence you - he don't like brown people big time, nor Jews I'd wager.
A Right wing extremist spear carrier from multi cultural Merrylands is what he is. Gawd he must be miserable up there. I'd think that the RSL is local equivalent of circling the wagons for a clearly racist chap formerly from Tamworth.

I’ve deliberately avoided replying to anyone whom I know or think has skin or blood in this conflict and will continue to do so. Id say that poster I’ve just mentioned has skin/blood in this. Even though our govt said it sides with Israel that though does not mean all its people do. Get about on social media the issue is extremely divisive. Personally I side with neither. I don’t care whose land it is. I’m actually quite concerned where or what this now leads to as it has the potential to get very ugly and drag others supporting either side into it
You are right though the situation will never resolve in our lifetime or ever. There is zero chance of that ever happening unless of course the whole place ends up like Atlantis taking all its people Now unlike one poster here I don’t want to see a whole country I should say two countries or either of it’s people mowed down or fall into the sea. But if it I had to chose between that or all out nuclear war. I know which I’d choose.

Dedicated to Jax, Carlost in Parra and Rocky.
I love a sunburnt country where Anzacs can march free
With RSLs and beaches and "facts" from Sky TV
I love her dumb arsed people of whom I'm proudly one
And the Liberal Party warms me in spite of what it's done
It brought in spics and dagoes and Muzzies on the run
From lots of scary places and strange brown lands they come
I love my sunburnt country but Sheeple hear my plea
Let's get back to bein' Aussie no wogs or spics for me!
