  • Jizzy's game development

Dunno if I shared but I've been building a game for the past ~12 months on and off (more off than on). It involves capturing some of my (mostly happy) memories of Japan before my daughter was abducted. Yet to think of a 'goal' but I think it's gonna be mostly about exploration and story telling rather than 'winning'.

After a long hiatus, I've recently scored an SE/30 to play it on (I'm developing it using a PowerMac G4 but feel that the ultimate experience will be exploring Virtual Fukui on an SE/30 with the native black and white screen).

If anybody's interested, I'm happy to post them a floppy disk containing the game when it's ready. Copies will be strictly limited (due to a lack of demand / marketability) so be sure to get in fast

I always wondered why they called them floppy discs as they were not floppy
        When you trust your television
what you get is what you got
Cause when they own the information
they can bend it all they want

The possible explanations I've heard are:

          1. The actual disc (the round thing inside the hard case) is very floppy.

          2. 5.25 floppies were bendable.

          3. Hard disks are in metal cases and floppies are in relatively flexible, plastic cases.

The jazz bar just needs a drunk in the corridor who can give you a remote, which you use to distract the pimp after passing through a door where the password is 'Ken sent me'.

Incase somebody's interested, here's a few more scenes I've cobbled together.

Any artists on here able to advise on bitmap graphics design?
