Innocent until proven guilty but I think he was charged with sexually assaulting somebody in a public toilet in the UK but reached some sorta cash settlement for the charges to be dropped.

Seems a bit curious that this time it's come up unprovoked by somebody who didn't even go public. I hate Hadley as much as I hate AJ but it seems as though one of his staff has been asked 'why did you leave' and has been like 'promise you won't tell a soul coz I don't want dramas?'

Side note, I know a dude who's worked with both of them and for A Current Affair. He said that if A Current Affair ever sticks a camera in your face making allegations then the way to get them to p!ss off is to repeatedly yell out the name of the person who's making the allegations so that the only content they have is:

ACA: 'What do you have to say for yourself? Did you scam people out of millions and behave inappropriately like people are saying you did?'

You: 'Oh Joe Smith's allegations? JOOOOOE SMITH!!!! IT'S ALL JOE SMITH!!! JOE SMITH JOE SMITH JOE SMITH!!!! ASK JOE SMITH!!!!!'

If you do that they can't bleep it out because you're not swearing. They've just gotta dump it because the accuser will be using a pseudonym & have an agreement that they not be named (which can also trigger defamation claims...etc if they're saying 'Joe Smith says [blah]' rather than asking whether general rumours are true/false).

He wasn’t charged with sexual assault in the 80s but with outraging public decency. He was caught in a well known gay meeting spot in a public toilet block which undercover police officers were targeting. Back then it was considered outrageous and horrifying that someone could be revealed as gay. The current allegations are for actual sexual assault. I guess like with other proven sickos like Don Bourke, Rolf Harris etc the victims are too scared to speak up at the time as the perpetrator is in a position of power and they perceive no one will believe them. But when they are older and no longer have the power they once had they then feel safer speaking up. There has always been rumours around Jones though. If he sues like he’s threatening it may invite more people to come forward. He never sued Chris Masters for his famous book which included a lot of ‘interesting’ eye raising material corroborated by actual witnesses.

Well you wouldn't know what the ABC says Carlotta, you're not a fan. My guess is that politically motivated coppers are on the case in the same way that they were on Sam Burgess' and Todd Carney's. There certainly something funny going on. Lotsa right wing politically motivated in the po-lice, Dutton was one. They'd want to give him a leg up.

Sky gets more things right than the ABC? How would you know? Embarrass yourself and give us some examples.

You've shown us that you're a simlpe minded post truth guy complete with alternative facts. You know, one of the common and garden duffers with his "common sense' who knows better that the "elites" (aka people who do know things). The planet Earth is round - fact! No it isn't, prove it, where's the evidence? There are scientific proofs and we can see it from space. Ah that's bullsit, Science also claims the planet is warming but I've been swimming at Bondi for thirty years and there's no difference in the water temperature. Like H.L. Menken (google him) said, the more the ordinary guy wants someone just like him to lead, the sooner there'll be a moron for President.

I hear there's a feral goat herd outside of Walgett, why dontcha go join it.

Thanks for the context... I dunno a lot about the guy so it's interesting to see a bit more context.

No worries. I read Masters’ book Jonestown. It was powerful stuff and some of the revelations are astounding. His lawyer was meticulous in going through it to ensure there could be no suing for defamation.

On the matter of the supermarket duopoly gouging, Who woulda thought? They're all at it (Tradies in the van) but the complaining also says a lot about the Sheeple who despite all, don't look to an alternative. They just keep turning up to be ripped off when a chain like Aldi offers considerable savings. I see them pouring off the train at Edgecliff station, hurrying past Aldi on the way to Coles', It's the old story of discomfort with change of any kind so, imo, the sheep deserve everything that they cop.

Related, is the same gullible trust in MSM by the sheep. Dutton, ably abetted by News Ltd and even the ABC, is slowly turning the polls around on the back of this toxic current "debate". The following is comment by Abdul Rivsi, formerly 2-I-C of the Department of Immigration on Dutton's and the Coalition's record. Who new? Well no-one when we have a monopoly right wing media hell bent on maintaining a permanent puppet Tory regime. Please read on, it's illuminating.

I do use Aldi. But it doesn’t have everything I need hence the need to rely on Colesworth as well. Don’t worry, I’m a super duper whiz with the budget. Aldi is great but also has its limitations.

We shop at Coles/Woolworth/Aldi/IGA plus the Butchers and Bakery.

The IGA is only up the road so if running out of milk/orange juice for an example we can purchase it there instead of travelling to the other shops.

We have actually shopped at Cosco's even when back in Sydney - Whole Tray of Lamingtons and Cinnamon Rolls and some other items they sell in Bulk - Even their very large Birthday/Celebration cakes that you can order on line and pick up in store

Lol i can just imagine Paddo at Edgecliffe Staion watching the people hurrying past Aldi straight to Coles,
At my centre on a Saturday you always know when Aldi have a big special on as the amount of trolleys coming up the travelator full of what ever was advertised at around 8.30 am. Yes Aldi cant always fullfill my shop so it is good having all three in our centre.

The thing is Horrie at Edgecliff Station you do not by pass Aldi to go to Coles You go one way or another up the escalators to Coles or straight ahead to Aldi I do get Paddos point though and I now find myself wondering if Paddo and I have crossed paths at Edgecliff Station

The last time i shopped at Edgecliff was before there was even an Aldi there, that was when i lived in the inner city and used to walk down to William st and catch the bus up to Edgecliff. Have been to Edgecliff station a few times over the last few years but it was straight off the train and walking down to Double Bay.

Thanks, you just gave me an idea for our story.

Ever heard of Woollahra railway station?

Proposed for Edgecliff Rd but Woollahra station was never completed. I thought that local residents opposed it? Go figure.
The great pity was/is that the line was not extended to Bondi Beach.

I shop at the local markets and butcher/baker (all within walking distance).

My preference is spending a bit more on some specialty items rather than going for bulk. The markets have a better vibe too as I can trial the produce & sip a latte at a woggie deli rather than slamming down a hotdog and then grabbing 10kg of low-grade macarons with a Nautica shirt, a pallet of chips/cokes and 10 extra tyres just incase I get a flat.

Yes it was opposed and I know exactly where the entrance to the station would have been In a way I’m glad it wasn’t completed as it is such a pleasant walk through Woollahra to Bondi Junction I also like walking to The Four In Hand in Paddington

I’m not quite sure why the line never ran all the way to Bondi Beach Perhaps more local opposition
