If the Pakis held their catches, they might have won in Melba....and The Pink quest could have been much closer.....As they say, Catches win Matches.

Gonna miss the little cattledawg brawler....

Sure his batting was better in years gone and was more an Australian pitch specialist. And he was Broad's bunny lol....

But i like fights, and he was a fighter, every inch of the way. He paid for Sandpapergate, many other players from other natioons did similar and copped less or even got away with it......

He could take the game away from the opposition in less than a session, much like Gilly used to. Plus he is one of us, a Rooster....

Agree. I want to see a proper contest between bat and ball. T20 is all about big bats, big 6s and lots of them.

Exactly................................all T20 games are the bloody same, might as well watch basketball.

While I'm in the mood to whinge............whats the point of numbers on shirts in cricket?
              Its pointless.
Players running around in 56 or 39 means nothing................we don't need it.
If they insist on having numbers it should be the batting order.
Number 11 would've suited Glen McGrath.

I rarely watch the domestic T20

That signature quote was from a post written during our first match of the year, from the SCG game versus the Knights, after a grand build up to the season 2021, 2022 or whenever.
Our play was park footy standard.
Knights ran all over, and around us.
Hopefully that won't happen in Vegas.
But could, we just never seem to be really ready to fire at the start of every season.

Aah but BB the quote is a classic as you’d written us off for the entire year after one solitary game.

After another whimpering start from the West Indies Hodge and Da Silva have settled in nicely, i'm hoping they stay around for a while to give a Australia a decent score to have to chase.

Both gone now after getting scores in the 70 s at least it has give the WI a somewhat respectable score.

The day ends with Joseph being caught at slips for a wonderful 32 off 22 West Indies 8-266 an excellent fight back after being 5-64

That was a good comeback from what was looking like a very diabolical score, interesting to see what happens when it is Australia's turn to bat, what cracks will appear or will we have a nice slick batting performance from the start.
