  • Very Slow SCG wicket tonight helping the Thunder spinners and medium paces - some unlucky dismissals as well which didn't help - Philippe for an example - Sixes need 140 as a minimum and will need to bowl very very well to move on to the GF against the Hurricanes.

Big last 4 overs including 2 power surge overs

    • Pace off on this wicket and hopefully some movement from the pitch with the new ball to defend the 151 the Sixes made.

      • Gees the Sixes are making it hard for themselves Shaw should have taken that one - easy as and dropped it - Not the Sixes night so far - have to bowl the Thunder out and must take those chances.

        • A very disappointing end to the season for the 6ers. Probably for the best though as I read somewhere that had they made the final they would have been further decimated by the loss of 3 more players to the Australia A team making the final a joke. I’m on the Cane train now as I hate the Thunder and am getting increasingly annoyed by the media led Warner show.

Davey Warner is a Roosters supporter like Steve Smith and Adam Zampa.

            • Hurricanes should be too strong having the better batting line-up and bowling attack on this wicket in Hobart - Hurricanes 6 from 6 in Hobart- Warner needs a big score for Thunder to post a 180 plus score with strong contributions from Billings , Jason Sangha , Gilkes and Davies required. The Thunder spinners of Green , Andrews and Tanveer Sangha could play a part on what looks like a very dry wicket.

Hurricane's win the bat flip/toss and have elected to Bowl

              • Thunder off to a flyer 0/58 after 6 overs- Wicket looks a belter so far so have to wait and see what happens when the ball gets a bit of wear and tear.

                • Hurricanes need wickets or they will be chasing a 200 or so score.

Yep I know. Still he’s a pretty divisive character. I didn’t mind watching him bat when he was on song though. I just find his personality a little grating at times.

                    • Drinks Break - Thunder 0/97 after 10 overs - 200 plus on the cards unless the Hurricanes take wickets - - Hobart Crowd quiet as - can hear a pin drop

                      • Hurricanes double up for wickets - Warner out for 48 and Gilkes plays on first ball - Ellis close to a hat trick just short of David - Billings played an unusual shot and almost spooned it to David - neither a defence nor an attacking one.

                        • Hurricanes pulling it back - Billings bowled - Thunder 3/134 - 2 power surge overs to come - Thunder may take it later now - Sangha needs to bat through now and be there during the power surge - 180 still on the cards which Thunder will need as a minimum.

                          • Thunder need something here - poor shot by Sangha who needed to be there for the power surge so not sure why he would play that shot last ball of the 15th over when the 2 power surge overs were the next two - 4 overs to go.

                            • Thunder doing themselves no favours - a 200 plus score on the cards after 10 overs ( 0/97) - now will be lucky to make 180 - 6/168 after 19

                              • Thunder finish with 7/182 - Hurricanes need 183 to win.
