FGS smell the coffee old man going back to 1910 reeks of desperation and clinging on to days long gone. Indeed there was a clear distinction between the two back then but the times have changed over the last 50 years. Whilst Labor started this a conservative govt Fraser’s followed through with it, but then Hawke and Keating amped up this non binding agreement I’m not laying blame as such showing demonstrable evidence how both parties have worked hand in hand for want of a better way to put it In saying that the irony of your so called workers party initially signing up to such a policy which has seen 100s of thousands of jobs lost over time whilst decimating manufacturing and industry in this country cannot be left unsaid

* School days were the worst days of his life and also of everybody else's he knew. From early on the stories and the bush dancing were okay but the other stuff....maths, science, essay writing were all meh! He couldn't understand any of it and anyway, it wasn't fun, didn't come easy. And people laughed when he got things wrong which was often. Anyway, mum'n'dad said education was all bullshit and the only book in the house was about the Anzacs though no-one had read it. He started it once but he words were too big and it was boring. It wasn't long before he just turned it all up in classes. Playin' up, having a few laughs, bottom of the class but that's where his mates were and those kids who were good at stuff were fcukin' nerds anyway, who'd wanna be like them.? He hadn't seen any of them since he left at the end of Year 10, proud that he'd never read a book and not the least regretful that he'd learned nothing - nothing that he could remember anyway.

* Having left it all behind things changed. Everybody was equal now. No one knew or cared that he knew nothing or had no curiosity at all. Everyone that he knew was the same and had the same interests - footy, social media, reality TV, bettin' with mates, The Tele, - everything that you needed to know was in it and it was easy to understand too. Why hadn't school been like that? For once, to his great relief, he was validated. The smart arses had disappeared though he did see them on the ABC when surfing channels - none of those smart fcukers knew the first thing about footy but they had the hide to talk down to him just like those fcukin' teachers had.

The main rule, he found out, in this new world, was to never voice any opinion unless sure that 98% agreed with it and the bible, in that regard, was the Tele and Sky channel where blokes just like himself (but who knew how to speak publicly) got very upset about a lot of things that he didn't really understand because there was no context at all but he liked the feeling of getting upset himself and havin' a go at fellas. Again, you didn't need to know anything, just give 'em a blast. The more ferocious the better because that was a sign that you were in the right. Best of all, he didn't have to think too much, it was all laid out for him and if it was that easy and comfortable and if "everybody" thought it, why were these other smart arseholes questioning it? Questions, questions, questions just like fcukin' school.
