Personally i dont have a problem changing the date- whats the big deal? Its not as if we celebrate Charles birthday on the actual date that he was born.

Plus imagine if the Palestinians were made to celebrate the day the Israelis decided that ethnic cleansing Gaza was a good idea.....wouldn't go down too we!!

Whys that . Someone will only whine about that date . Never keep the woke happy . What its time for is for people to embrace our great country and celebrate on the 26th . No other country in the world bows down like we do . Time to stop

Although you may find this hard to understand The answer is simple The current date is divisive and does not unite ALL Australians I say change it to September 26

lol like clockwork ....The woke yearly whinging of changing the date has been going on for the last 30 odd yrs, maybe more. Nothing like bitter Woke tears, morning noon or night.

          Nothing will change...Haters gotta Hate.

What part of frigging "NO" do you peeps not understand? What, we going waste another 400 to 500 million on another failed Referendum.

P.S. Change the hate, NOT the date

            Bravo!! Well said.

What next, Change or eliminate MOTHERS DAYS because it might offend someone with two fathers... who's ya daddy?

What next, Change or eliminate FATHERS DAYS because it might offend someone with two mothers?

What next, change Anzac day as i might offend some Turk? Or change Christmas day or Easter as it might offend some atheist?

It will be the beginning of the slippery slope...just like that gay marriage BS pleb.

WOKE is a plague...needs to be eradicated immediately.

What's hard to understand is your U-turn into support of the global corporations...that same corporation mandating the experimental poisons on it's staff, that same corporation that's rorting via price gouging the underprivileged i.e that includes aborigines, that same corporation that used the plandemic to maximise profits and i could go on. WokeWorths, the political people.

And what about the Tens of thousands who have got citizenship on the 26th of January? Are they not allowed to celebrate on the appropriate day? Chinese, Indians, Africans, other Asians etc? Are u happy to offend them? Are U woke and wracist ? Date doesn't matter, how about changing ur wedding anniversary or even your birthday, say to 30th and 31st of February respectively?. I'm confident those dates won't offend anyone.

Our very impressive Australia cricket captain, Pat Cummins, has forthrightly distanced himself from "Celebration" as has the AWB.

It is often said that the test of a successful nation is the way that it treats its least advantaged. There's no getting away from it, we almost destroyed the original landowners and their culture and much more needs to be done to atone for that. As usual, News is not about anything in any way principled, this is a Culture War gesture aimed squarely at progressive sentiment as is anything that Jax has to contribute in such matters.

Anyway, with that limp wristed woke Cummin's endorsement, the writing is clearly on the wall. Jax and Co are yesterday's men and they know it.
Yeah Nah...once again u are FAKE NEWS.

"Nearly two-thirds of Australians (65%) say January 26 should be known as ‘Australia Day’ – up 6% points on a year ago"

WORM is NOT turning in your favour.

Let us know on that rare day that u post something factual....maybe two short farts will do. Blow your trumpet as it's hard to maintain interest in your constant lies & propaganda. If i want propaganda, i'll just watch left wing MSM on the controlled idiot box.

Any reason why you are using the 2022 poll when theres a 2024 poll available??

Support for saying January 26 should be known as ‘Australia Day’ by age:

A majority of Australians of all ages say the date of Australia Day ‘should not be moved’:
                  • 18-34: 51% ‘Don’t move the date’ cf. 49% ‘Move the date’;
                  • 35-49: 52.5% ‘Don’t move the date’ cf. 47.5% ‘Move the date’;

LOL...Like Clockwork our resident parrot A.K.A Commie Cockroach arrives!!!

Reads a site that says 50/50 but the figures ARE ACTUALLY THIS

"evenly split on keeping Australia Day on January 26 with 58.5% saying the date of Australia Day should stay the same while just over two-fifths, 41.5%"

Now I'm no accountant but somehow i don't see 58.5 to 41.5 as been even remotely close to 50/50 LOL

If that 58.5 applied to an election it would be an landslide.

Stick to your FAKE NEWS SITES.... CHYNA

                    Meanwhile, in the real world...

Poll shows overwhelming support for a traditional Australia Day

"A huge 95 per cent of Herald Sun readers asked if they still wanted to celebrate Australia Day on January 26, said they did. It comes as debate rages over whether the date should be changed"

.So 5% want change....it's a tidal wave LOL hahahahaha

Now crawl back over to the footy side of this forum ya commie cockroach. pretend u got a clue over there.

Hate Australia day? Comrade Kim Jong Un is calling....9th of September will be your national day...WIN WIN....LOSER.

True you are no accountant....in fact you wouldn't get past vege maths. Going to own up why you didn't use the 2024 poll and preferred to 2022 results? Keep searching - you may even find a poll on the topic in the 1950's....that would really suit your archaic views.

If you cant see by the trend in the tables that Australia Day will be moved from January 26th to another date in the near future by majority choice then there's nothing and no one that can change your feeble brain.

I actually can't believe you quoted something out of News Ltd's Herald Sun. Surely you jest???

The Rockstar is back! Good to see you mate, hittin the limp wrists outta the park with some beautifully placed wisdom and wit

And yes, changing the date of Australia Day wouldn't satisfy the self loathing activists who started this nonsense. It's the fact that we celebrate Australia at all that really upsets them.

My two indigenous sons in laws that don't support the changing of the date give me a fair understanding on the subject.

Would you . Your the one asking to change the date to the 26th September .
If you mean about my sons in laws well they are smart enough to embrace the good that has come from the so called invasion and not live in the past . You can dwell or move on and no matter what date we chose to or in your case not to celebrate our great country the minority will never be happy . They just never are.

I propose September 26 as it is the day Australia won the America’s Cup A day that truly brought the country together and unified. If it is to be changed that is a good day with some significance.

Now as to your claims of me choosing not to celebrate Australia Day this is false Both myself and Mrs Walker will spend the early morning at the Bondi Dawn reflection ceremony. Then we will have a swim followed by a nice breakfast at a nice little cafe. Later on in the day we will head to Newtown where we shall attend the Yabun Festival which is a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander cultures. In the evening we are attending a BBQ with our Chinese neighbours It is going to be a wonderful day
