I've listened to his self congratulatory claptrap for far too long now- the laughable "from rags to riches" stuff, the deep commitment to conservation evidenced by voting Tory, the "success" of his ill educated kids etc...etc...but these indigenous sons -in- law who've recently emerged is a new thing which owes some thing to Izzy. It's the "personal, first hand" claim that wins the argument - "My sons-in-law (and Jacinta Price) reckon that they're all whingers and they're indigenous so game over". I mean how puerile is that? How'd you spend it anyway?

Celebrations for me are always about music. So I usually seek out some form of Aussie music to have a couple of beers enjoying. Ended up heading to the Tollgate in nth Paz. Good old Aussie rock band belting out songs from Angels, ACDC, Dragon, INXS and the like, plus some originals. People in their Aussie clobber proudly enjoying themselves. Good vibes and mateship. A dog wondering amongst the crowd wearing an Aussie flag bowtie. A lady in a tight hugging dress with Aussie flag design (see through from the back...).Was glad I went there. Even won a couple of bucks on a side flutter. You only hear about protests and unhappy people on the news and social media, but there's a shedload of events and people celebrating across the country on this day.

Finished the day/night off watching a concert held in Tamworth that day during the festival, on YouTube. Respect, Reflect and Celebrate was the theme. I lived in Tamworth for about 20 years so it has a special place in my heart at this time of year. Was a great spot to celebrate Aust Day. 3 main acts....first an Aboriginal group doing some traditional music and story telling, I used to work with the guy hosting this part. He's gone grey, like my beard! Then a local band who did some Aussie rock covers, knew a couple of the guys here too. Last act was the legendary Bushwackers bringing it home with their own style. Finished with I Am, You Are, We are Australian. Co written by Dobe Newton.

Anyway it was a good day. Hope you got to have some fun.

What was exposed on SkyNews in particular was the truth about The Voice..."Voice, Treaty, Truth" and what exactly was in the Uluru Statement.
Albo said "one page"...but it was 26 or so pages, and the Treaty aim was in writing, and Truth meant sovereignty.
