  • Disco queen Donna Summer passes away

    http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/...518-1yu2o.html

Sad news, remembered for some really great dance classics in the mid to late 70's and early 80's then another resurgance in the early 90's.

Here is one of my favourites with Donna and Tina Arena singing, No More Tears,Enough Is Enough[right after the advert]

Very sad news indeed - I've had Donna Summer songs running through my head all morning. Must download some of her songs onto my IPod, I need some more disco and upbeat music to get me through my time on the cross-trainer and treadmill at the gym.

That's very sad, too young. I learnt alot from "Love to love you baby" as a 9 year old.

Her music fit the times perfectly. That's a fine legacy to have.

I had "Hot Stuff" in my head today too. I had to explain to a young work colleague who she was. As soon as I mentioned "Bad Girls", she knew because it was used in Sex and the City. I'm still upset about Whitney Houston and now Donna.

Love Donna and Tina together.Still remember many times on the dance floor to I Feel Love and Hot Stuff.State Of Independence is one of my favourite Donna songs and i loved her Stock Aitken Waterman era also especially This time I Know Its For Real and Love's About To Change My Heart.I think Donna is going a fair bit of airplay at home on my next day off.
