Meanwhile over in your adopted Italy, The League party has taken rugby league to the people. In a recent parliamentary game of capture the flag, the five stars team, as their names suggests, had a resounding win. Bravo

Though, word has it that former Italian prime minister, Joe Cont (not his real name), is just a puppet for the CCCP. Who do they think they’re fooling with a political party called 5Stars? They may as well have a party named after a German supermarket giant or after a Ukrainian tv show such as ‘Servant of the People’ where the leader himself was a star of.

Brexit architect, Nigel Farage, playing in his customary 13 jersey for 5 Stars, has been toiling away for little reward.

biden's debate performance was a fiasco. the party hasn't yet endorsed him so it's not too late to change horses. he needs to get an independent medical check up. hard for him to come back from here but if he's medically fit then, alas, he's probably the best chance to beat trump at this late stage.
limiting presidents to two terms has some merit but it's crazy that barack obama can't run again

The Daaanld's performance was also shyte and he's a delusional loon. Time for him to get a medical assessment or can we quit the rumours about people's capacity & move on with discussing the policy / politics that we endorse?

So it's come out that while Donald's mic was muted he just kept talking/shouting and carrying on with a heap of antics in order to distract Biden (knowing that since the mics are off, nobody will hear him or know). Then... spreading rumours that Biden looking distracted is 'dementia'.

Every time I think the Daaaaanld couldn't get any worse, he reaches a new low.

Im a bit reluctant to add to this thread because theres a fair bit of abuse when someone doesn't agree with your opinion....but heres goes.

I think its very much a legitimate concern the way Biden acted in that debate. You could see something was not right after 30 seconds. He looked like a hospice patient that got lost in his ward. This wasn't a just a bad debate-it was a medical episode. 12 months ago the Republican shadow leader of the Senate , 82 year old Mitch McConnell, had the first of 2 "freezing attacks". For plenty of seniors these "moments" are part of the aging process https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hg50njO60FY

Biden's debate performance is a significant issue, and here's why: The Biden administration has been successful in nearly all major areas. His primary task was to reassure his followers and undecided voters that he is physically and mentally capable of serving another four years. He failed to do so against a opponent who didn't come into the debate with one single policy to discuss- zero- he has none!

A more pressing problem was Biden's inability to effectively counter Trump's constant stream of lies. Trump made false claims repeatedly, and Biden missed the opportunity to capitalise on it.

Could you imagine a debate between a Australian PM & a opposition leader, and the opposition leader says " in the states governed by your party they are allowing babies to be executed after birth". I mean when we crucified Tony Abbott for plenty of stupid things he said ( eg " "What the housewives of Australia need to understand as they do the ironing is.....) but he never said anything outrageous as that.

Thats just the start of Trumps blatant lies....
              • Every legal scholar wanted Roe vs Wade overturned -lie and in fact it was the opposite. To boot only 35% of Americans want it reversed.
              • There were no terror attacks under his presidency -lie
              • Iran didn't fund terror groups under Trumps presidency-lie
              • The US has provided more aid to Ukraine than Europe has under Biden-lie
              • Biden referred to black people as " super predators"-lie
              • Biden was planning to quadruple peoples taxes- ridiculous lie
              • Biden was responsible for inflation- lie, inflation is a world problem and the US has dealt with it a lot better than most thanks to the Federal Reserve- not any political party or politician.
              • Nancy Pelosi turned down deploying10,000 national guard troops on Jan 6- lie
              • Nancy Pelosi admitted she was responsible for Jan 6- ridiculous lie
              • Americans don't bear the cost of tariffs on China—lie and a claim I always find amusing at Trump's rallies. He boasts about the billions taken from China through tariffs, and the crowd cheers, not realising that they are the ones actually paying those tariffs.
              • Chinas trade surplus with the US was at its lowest under Trump- Lie, it is at its lowest under Biden
              • Europe accepts no American cars- lie
              • He got the Veterans choice program through congress- ridiculous lie- he didnt even raise a bill on it
              • He was responsible for the drop in price of insulin- again he didn't even raise a bill on it-let alone got it passed
              • Crime under Biden has been going up the record levels- lie, in fact the opposite, In 2023 a 13% decline in murder was the single biggest one-year dropon record in US data dating back to 1960, while the roughly 6% decline in reported violent crime would be one of the biggest on record; reported violent crime declined in every quadrant of the country, in cities of all sizes and in in rural communities.
These are just a few of the 40 lies that got fact checked after the debate.

Yet Biden didn't capitalise on any of these lies. Nor did he capitalise on the Jan 6 insurrection, the classified documents at Mar a Lago, the pressuring by Trump of state officials to find him votes...just to name a few.

Trump unbelievably hasn't got the endorsement of his 2016 vice president Mike Pence, his secretary of defence Mark Esper, his Chief of Staff John Kelly, John Bolton his national security adviser, his deputy press secretary Sarah Mathews....along with a host of others. The most concerning criticism came from the head of the military, Mark Milley, during his retirement speech, said Trump was a "wannabe dictator." How much more material did Biden need to wipe the floor with him???

In Bidens latest interview he was asked " did you watch a replay of the debate ?" To which he replied " i dont think so, no". WTF? The whole world is talking about the debate and your not sure if you seen a replay of it?

My personal opinion is Biden should move over and allow a younger and more dynamic candidate

Tory - HE DOES NOT HAVE DEMENTIA!!! GIVE IT A REST AND STOP MALICIOUSLY CLAIMING TO HAVE SOME SORTA WELFARE CONCERN WHEN YOU ULTIMATELY WANT THE DEMOCRATS TO LOSE & BE IN CRISIS MODE!!!! He's the US president and is performing his duries just fine (kicking goals all over the place on the global scene, including by cleaning up the mess that Daaaalnd created with China because he's got zero diplomatic nous). His achievements when compared with the horrible events that Daaanld created are super impressive.

Sticking to the FACTS - we now know that while Biden was talking, Daaaanld was shouting out childish taunts and talking over him with complete lies (intentionally so as part of a calculated tactic of disruption). The 'lie metre' notched up more than 20 statements from Donald that weren't just political 'that's debatable' kinda 'lies', they were goo goo ga ga fantasy land kinda claims.

Now how do you respond to that? Put yourself in Joe's seat. You're trying to debate while your opponent (whose mic is switched off so the public can't hear it but YOU can') is shouting at you erratically, refusing to STFU while you talk and making a heap of ridiculously false claims. Then afterwards the coward gets his attack dogs to claim you have a mental illness? lt's seriously messed up shyte...

Joe's admitted that he let this get to him (which is a failure), but seriously... it's a comment on how low Donald's set the bar for public discourse. Anybody buying into Donald's dementia shyte is either a moron or a horrible person. Come clean and tell us about how you love Donald's policies of building a wall, banning abortion, letting Russia bomb Ukraine, starting a trade war with China (leading mostly to tariffs on Aussie wheat / barley / seafood + bans on our wine)...etc. Tell us why these policies are all sound instead of trying to say that those who oppose them are 'too old' (practically the same age as Trump - doesn't bother you) or mentally frail (again consciously ignoring how ridiculous Trump's behaviour is).

I'm all for people openly saying they want conservatives to win, but this tactic of uncertainty trolling elections / referendums is getting boring. Grow a spine ya coward Tories!!!

Oi and time to discuss why you got your @rse handed to you in the UK following Brexit and other stupid, protectionist policies. A vote for the Tories (anywhere) is a vote for protectionism. How's that worked for conservatives on a global scale, huh?

Random Rooster you are such a loyal devotee to the left ideology. You'd put lippy on a turd, while giving Santa Claus a golden shower.

Such time, effort and devotion to the cause one can only, at least, admire your blind consistency.

Ive listed many points that you can question....but it will require you to back it up with facts.

Instead of getting personal, have a go at doing so. Im happy to give your reply respect. I know you dont like how i dissected Trumps debate claims but thems the facts! He lied about everything and has no policies.
Ive given my views on Joe Biden that wouldn't please the majority of "lefties".

Im not a American citizen- whoever they vote in whether it be left right up down, doesn't concern me- just like the left cleaning up in England or the right in France. I am concerned that Australia may one day catch on to not accepting election results if they dont go your way. If that happens it is the start of the end of democracy- something i dont want for my children.

I also you noticed you never replied to my posts on the thread you started about a Royal commission into the Labor premiers and their handling of covid. You seem to stall when faced with facts?

                      Lets go Roooosters!!!

Biden has slowed down dramatically since 2020. The way he walks and loses his way on topics doesn't necessarily mean he has dementia. However, unfortunately, we all age. He now doesn't present with someone who can see out 4 more years. Trump also is nowhere near the same as he was 4 years ago. His rallies consist of spewing out the same lies at least twice and sometimes 3 times....and weird tangents like his latest https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...h/74042419007/

Re the debate. Firstly it should be pointed out that 20 million less people tuned in to watch the debate compared to the first debate in 2016. Safe to say that theres a preference for 2 younger and dynamic candidates.

I dont agree about your thoughts on Trumps "calculated tactic of disruption". When Biden was talking the screen was mostly split in 2 so you could see Trumps facial expression and reactions in real time- i never saw Trump attempting to say anything while Biden was talking. On the flip said when Trump was talking Biden had this confused, hollow, blank look.

Its going to be a debacle whatever the outcome. If Trump loses he wont accept the result, already conditioning his supporters that he will only accept the result if it was a " a fair election ". If Trump wins theres going to be some of the biggest street protests ever (as Trump would say " the likes no one has ever seen" hahaha).

Isn't it great to be living in the greatest country on the planet....Australia!!! We are truly blessed - never take it for granted.

So the solution is to vote for a maniac (who's old & morbidly obese) because his campaigners are spreading news that the other guy is too old for the job?

Makes no sense. Daaaanld is a complete loon and I think any discussions about capability should centre around that.

Anybody with ANY knowledge of politics knows that these people are just figureheads anyway. They provide the strategy (i.e. steer left or right) and those around them do the rest.

The US' horizontal and vertical separation of power (where a guy can technically be president with zero power to pass legislation) leads to the battle being far more individual. However Daaaanld's cards are on the table. We've seen his insurrection, spruiking of bleach as a cure for COVID and trade war with China. Biden's certainly not Obama but I think 'anything but Donald' is the main focus right now. Biden's too old? Daaaanld can't even accept that he lost the last election and is already calling the next one rigged (unless he wins). This is simply not appropriate conduct from a guy who wants to be president.

Of course I don’t want the narcissistic loon Trump back again. The entire election is seriously a farce. But the way it stands one of them IS going to win and become President. They may get a record number of non voters this year.
