Sounds like you have met him and plenty of others who post here over the years?
I’ve run into Jaxxx at the races a couple of time and did watch a game with him about 10 years ago. Nothing he said in person led me to post what I posted and we do have common interests. More what’s been said on here since then leads me to my attitude towards him. It’s rubbed me up the wrong way but yeah I’m sure my attitude on here does that to others.

Yes I’ve met quite a few on here Mickey Horrie Hastings RWB and was it J Man S( the guy who helped Jake Friend out with a job ) stephen j ( nice bloke don’t know what happened to him hope he’s ok) along with plenty of other old wallsters. Quite a few I still see at games, and some I’ve even had some funny nights out with after games. The majority I came out of my way to meet due to me being they way I am on here and being labelled a keyboard hero who wouldn’t show his face at a game.

So Australian—Amusing that you would call your wife a "Skippy" when you are one yourself no matter what other passports you hold.

I worked with a fellow of Greek Heritage who banged on about the same thing having the Greek passport and how easy travel through EU countries was and would be.

He hadn't been to Greece since his childhood and was preparing for an extended trip.

The conversion went along the follow lines.

Oh, I said, Have you done your military service yet?
      No, what military service?
It's compulsory in Greece for 18- to 45-year-old males unless exempted.
I will travel on my AUS passport then.
It won't matter, as if they say you're Greek and you do have Greek citizenship, then they can take you straight from the airport to a military base.
I will contact the AUS Embassy then.
They won't be able to do anything for you.

There is no compulsory military service in Italy anymore, but I wonder if you would have been so keen to take up citizenship if there was?

Do you recall the very first time we crossed paths? I was walking out of the old SFS after an Easts game with RWB at the time and she exclaimed "There's Andrew Walker!" And you sidled up on a pushbike. Very different to what I imagined.

I've also met Thirteen a few times - great bloke, the Cannon and I feel like I know Ism22 better than some of my family. Theres a couple I reckon I know from Facebook on here, but we haven't met f2f. Oh I've also met StephenJ. Quite by coincidence actually. I was seated next to this guy at an Anzac Day clash and we talked a bit. Old rugby boy, still plays seniors, lives in the Shire and supports Easts....er you wouldn't be Steve Jones would you from the Chookpen? You bet I am...hi I'm Jacks Fur Coat.

        • Of the people i have met from here and the old wall, i first met redwhiteblue up at Gosford even though we had chatted before, that day also i met Sue ( who i think was Phantom and her husband who was The Fat Controller ), they were sitting with redwhiteblue at the time,, what we didn't realise at the time was Tones was sitting right behind them, i met Tones later on as he gave me a signed Roosters flag which i keep in a safe place, such a gentleman and i treasure the flag and him every time i look at it, would love to get it framed but don't have enough walls to hang it on here at home.

Shannon the cannon i chatted to many times while lined up to get into the Swans as he would always be going past with the banner for the games with the cheer squad, he was also on the same train that got stuck at Hornsby station on the way to a game in Gosford.

Andrew Walker came into to visit me a few times when i was working at the drive thru in Kensington and we had some good chats about the Roosters and life in general, it was good to have a local who could drop in while i was working, also had seen him on the bus sometimes at Kensington when going to game with his daughter and also while waiting for the replacement buses at Hornsby with the delay going to that Gosford game i mentioned before when i saw seeing Shannon i saw Andrew Walker in the lines also that day.

stsae, i also met when he came into work at the drive thru , even though it was brief it was great to catch up with him, i know he still drops into this forum every now and then.

Have also met briefly StephenJ and Mario ( or was it Super Mario ). I remember i almost scared the s*t out of Lauren when i ran up behind her outside the ground at the 2010 Grand Final, think she was with Mario at the time and that is how i recognised her.

Of the people who aren't on the forum anymore i have met and still keep in contact with Wicked Angel, i have visited her when i have gone to Perth and also we catch up when she comes to Sydney, such a lovely person and good friend.

Also had the privilege meeting The General at my best mates big birthday two years ago and also sat with him and his lovely partner just last Saturday at the Manly game, another gentleman.

Actually it used to annoy a bit being called a wog/dago by classmates in primary school but by my teens i didn't worry me. Yeah we have a bit of fun with it at home....for eg my eldest son talks with his hands a lot and has a bit of a temper, so we say "thats the wog in you". I wont give an example of the other way around just in case in offend some of the native Australians here!

To answer your question, no i would not have done military service in Italy just to get a EU passport. Doing 3 years in the army so you can save some time travelling around the EU countries is a bit extreme hahaha !!

I know Stephen J and I think he is doing ok. Not sure if he still does the Santa thing anymore, but I think he is still involved with the Golden Oldies Rugby but not as a player anymore lol....I think he still donned the boots from time to time and he was in his 60s.

J Man (he used to own a cafe in Surry Hills, where Jake Friend worked while banned from playing for a few months back in 09 or 10) is also a lovely bloke...

I saw Cannon early this year at a game and spoke with Phantom and FC on Saturday night

Interesting fact that Italians and Jewish people are well known for using their hands a lot when speaking.

I remember the All in the Family Episode - won't mention what Archie Bunker called Jewish People though

His alts are here. Guessing he's either lost his password or realised that in light of current day events, his only supporters are from the far-right.

Side note - I sat next to Julian Assange in Max Brenner the other day (he's been out and about in Canberra). He was speaking very loudly and telling his (extremely disinterested looking) wife that she was a fool to be drinking milk as it 'can kill you' and we only drink it due to a US government conspiracy.

I asked this question a little while ago. I do miss him labelling me a typical sheeple who suffers from cognitive dissonance and Murdoch brainwashing syndrome. It used to always brighten up my day. The repetitive, circular arguments were always a treat too.

Hopefully finally given western democracy the ultimate middle finger and boarded that slow boat to China.
