Obama was a solid president. He did kill a lot of people with drone strikes but he was a strong leader and a gentleman.

Save us from what? We are Australians and decide our own destiny. We are strong and independent- its what makes Australia the best country in the world, far outweighing the USA.

America needs saving from itself. We can discuss the political circus they live but it doesn't pertain to us- and thank God for that!

Zzzzz... you've read what Vance said about Trump, right?

It's okay to be right-wing but if you're gonna be such a condescending, personally involved spruiker then you could at least try to make-up your own lines/opinions with a focus on trying not to contradict yourself when making personal attacks.

Andy you're reading too much into it- he has not endorsed her yet. Harris is the "presumptive nominee". Once she is confirmed he will back her. Unless he will endorse Michelle Obama LOL ! Nah she wants nothing to do with politics- thats smart

My typo I did read it as yet. Let’s see what happens

what you get is what you got
Cause when they own the information
they can bend it all they want

Agreed - it's all but confirmed. Tories hoping for some sort of internal conflict. Speed and unity will be required in order for this to work.

                > Vice President Kamala Harris now has the support of enough Democratic delegates to earn the party's nomination for President - and early polling tips her to win the race in November.

                > A Reuters-IPSOS poll indicates a she has a two per cent lead on Donald Trump and comes as she took to the stage in her first rally since announcing her run.

It almost feels as if they've lured Trump in with his Biden jeers, waited for him to back a running partner for that race and then done the good old switcharoo on him.

Imagine this cackling idiot in charge of nuclear launch codes. Very scary thought.

The only thing your little barb exposes is your own biases...

For the record I've rated Bob Hawke as one of our best ever PMs, praised Keating for some good reform and political humour, lauded JFK and rapped Chris Minns as doing an overall good job. (bar the handling of protesters).

Can you give me any crumbs of support for Conservative leaders from your mate?

No bias here, i dislike both persons in the running for the US job, i was only pointing out that you were commenting on RR being shifted to the left and i said like wise you being the same to the right, that is all, do you notice i don't bother commenting usually in any of the political threads. I remember you making a comment that you thought you knew which way i voted in the Voice referendum, you wouldn't have a clue which way i voted.

Anyway back to the circus which is the upcoming US elections.

I think the concepts of left and right are nonsense these days. That's why people as different as you and I can agree on Trump. He isn't a Republican. He hijacked their party and took it over and now it's the Trump Party. Even RFK is no longer a Democrat.

I honestly don’t know much about Harris. I just can’t stand Trump and I really didn’t think much of SleepyJoe either. I’ll be interested to see how she goes but at least she’s under 70 years old and hopefully now we can actually focus on the issues rather than endless stories about Biden’s state of mind.

Wow Jack thats an impressive list!

Strong conservative governments have strong conservative values; Individual freedom, limited government, fiscal responsibility, free markets, human dignity and rule of law. All these values are important in creating a healthy balance in the governing of a country. Republicans like Dwight Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, George H W Bush. Unlucky for Mitt Romney he came across Obama in the election because he would have made a great president.

All of the above, and many more respected Republicans of the past, would be disgusted with this MAGA cult mob. Even George W Bush has never and never will endorse Trump.....and thats because Trump isn't a Republican- he upholds none of their values. Everyday he tells you who he is by his words and actions but his supporters dont care.

I could give you a list of facts, backed up with credible evidence, of every way he has discredited conservative values. It doesn't matter to his cult followers, they really believe that this corrupt New York property developer really cares about them. Meh good luck to them, good luck to America

Incidentally and closer to home, i think it would be a great move for the Liberals to find a way of bringing the astute Josh Frydenberg back into the fold to lead them into the next election. One of the better politicians from both sides over the last few years, he was a victim of Scomo's lame last year in office. Just my thought
