I honestly don’t know much about Harris. I just can’t stand Trump and I really didn’t think much of SleepyJoe either. I’ll be interested to see how she goes but at least she’s under 70 years old and hopefully now we can actually focus on the issues rather than endless stories about Biden’s state of mind.

Trump is bragging how it was his conservative appointed judges that got the 50 year old law "Roe vs Wade" reversed. He even totally bullshits that its what " nearly every legal scholar wanted"

Now state governments can outlaw abortions- telling a woman that she isnt in charge of her own body even if the pregnancy was a result of rape, incest or a danger to the mother if going the full term.

A 78 year old male, convicted of rape and sexual assault, boasting about bringing in that law-wow. How would any self respecting female vote for him???

Strong conservative governments have strong conservative values; Individual freedom, limited government, fiscal responsibility, free markets, human dignity and rule of law. All these values are important in creating a healthy balance in the governing of a country. Republicans like Dwight Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, George H W Bush. Unlucky for Mitt Romney he came across Obama in the election because he would have made a great president.

All of the above, and many more respected Republicans of the past, would be disgusted with this MAGA cult mob. Even George W Bush has never and never will endorse Trump.....and thats because Trump isn't a Republican- he upholds none of their values. Everyday he tells you who he is by his words and actions but his supporters dont care.

I could give you a list of facts, backed up with credible evidence, of every way he has discredited conservative values. It doesn't matter to his cult followers, they really believe that this corrupt New York property developer really cares about them. Meh good luck to them, good luck to America

Incidentally and closer to home, i think it would be a great move for the Liberals to find a way of bringing the astute Josh Frydenberg back into the fold to lead them into the next election. One of the better politicians from both sides over the last few years, he was a victim of Scomo's lame last year in office. Just my thought

That's exactly my issue with him. In short...

- If he were actually a free market conservative then why did he go and slap tariffs on everybody? Answer... because he's an egotistic protectionist who spits the dummy every time things don't go his way (even when he hasn't even articulated which way he wants to go in).

- As a human being he's not a social conservative as he's actively admitted to cheating on his wife and has spent a LOT of time arguing that the courts are corrupt because they called his cover-up a crime. He's also encouraged people to grab women by the genitals (another conservative/Christian value I suppose?). A social conservative would resign out of shame and would not dare bring the pillars of democracy (including election outcomes and the judiciary) into disrepute.

- Personal freedoms? Again... he's celebrated government bans on abortion (demonstrating he thinks government has a role in preventing it) and recreational drugs (noting I'm anti-drugs but again... he's not against governments regulating against what some 'Murricans would consider civil liberties).

- The Russia thing is just weird!!! I'll leave a lengthy discussion of this for another day but in short I think it shows Trump's ego driven as he'll take help from ANYBODY, including a guy who thinks he's a blithering idiot who's gonna aid him by destabilising western democracies. The two aren't friends. Trump's being played big time for zero gain other than Russian, state-sponsored antics that have thus far benefited his campaign as they've involved spreading FUD about the Democrats!

If he were a valid conservative as opposed to an ego-driven protectionist then I wouldn't oppose him in a big way. He's simply not though.

Lol, that’s your ‘in short’. But yeah his ‘policies’ are a bit contradictory and self serving. He’s not really a republican but in the US you can’t get anywhere unless you’re red or blue.

Andy, I was not bullying Izzy. My response was actually admiring his uniqueness. I actually like that he is different and doesn’t care what people think. Good on him. It’s why I said lol. It was a bit of banter. His idea of short and mine are different, but that doesn’t mean mine is superior. Calling him a freak or whatever because of that however is bullying. It’s like me having fun at myself. I’m a perfectionist and at times have OCD tendencies that makes me look silly but i know what I am and can laugh at myself despite it.
