I've never despised a public figure like I do Penny Wong, but I've never supported her being shot and killed.

Americans are a different animal. Since the Columbine School shooting which shocked the world in 1999, there have been 418 school shootings. Yet nothing has been done- by either parties. All we hear is "thoughts and prayers for the killed, injured and their families".
JD Vance after the recent Apalachee shootings that gun violence is "a fact of life ". Trump said after the Perry School shootings to "get over it". Both statements may seem harsh, but its American reality.
So considering nothing is done to protect children from gun violence, why is it a shock when a political figure gets shot at?

I didn't suggest it was a shock. More the open support for assassinating someone is the sad part. The decent human condemns it regardless of their political ideologies.

Nancy Pelosi's husband gets hit on the head with a hammer by a MAGA looney and is rushed to hospital for fractured skull surgery....and all The Don says "its a terrible thing" and straight away blames it on crime in democrat run states. He then spends 2 years joking about the Paul Pelosi incident at his rallies.
Everyday Trump is telling you who he is. Those in his cult thrive on it. Those who know better dislike him with a passion. Trump is playing a real fiery game with his words- eventually it will have consequences

so trump was interviewed on fox - "He believed the rhetoric of Biden and Harris, and he acted on it," Trump said of the gunman in an interview with Fox News Digital. "Their rhetoric is causing me to be shot at, when I am the one who is going to save the country, and they are the ones that are destroying the country — both from the inside and out."
the bloke talks like his farts don't smell. he's a heads i win, tails you lose new york con man. does he really believe that his own rhetoric is marquis of queensberry? 'lock her up'. 'fight, fight, fight'
and in other news vance let the cat out of the bag - pun intended: 'if i have to create stories so that the american media pays attention to blah blah ...' j.d. mate, that's not the way it works - once you admit that you're creating stories for effect your credibility is zero. it's bullshit that migrants are eating pets

"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

Trump has dodged more bullets than Heels Up Harris has done live interviews.
The Russian hoax didn't work. Lawfare hasn't worked. So what could possibly work that would keep Trump off the ballot?
The baby killing left are getting desperate and are now intent on killing him, but so far the Democrats are 0-2.
Leftwing media blame his rhetoric, but there's limitless footage available of progressive politicians, the news media, celebrities and everyday people who are literally egging on nutcases to take a shot at Trump.
Who cares if he hates Taylor Swift? Has he held up the decapitated head of his Democrat opponent (Kathy Griffin), has he ruminated about blowing up the White House (Madonna), has he been portrayed in theatre getting knifed and stabbed, has he threatened to take his opponent behind the school sheds to beat the crap out of him (Biden), has he called for violence when confronting a political opponent (Maxine Waters, Robert De Niro etc etc), is calling someone a fascist, Marxist or communist worse than calling someone a dictator or Adolph Hitler?
Wise up people. Barring a massive cheat (which will happen at some level), Trump has got this election in the bag.Last edited by Carlos Parra; 09-17-2024, 08:16 PM.1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs

More than 2 minutes of Democrats explicitly calling for political violence against Donald Trump.

Yep....if he wins then the election is fair. If he loses then its rigged. Its what he has groomed his cult followers to believe
Last time he based it on the size of his rallies, but this time Harris rallies dwarf his- of course not that it matters either way. So what are we basing it on this time? Not the polls- Harris is in front there too. Definitely wasn't the last debate. Wont be any future debate, he chickened out of that. Wouldn't be any swing voters, they want a solid set of policies- Trump actually has none. Even the bookies have him as the outsider. This doesn't mean he cannot win- he can- but any talk of rigged elections if he loses are not only baseless but its the start of the end of your democracy
As far as i see it if Trump wins it will be a legitimate win. If Harris wins it will be a legitimate win.
Just for your info the person who called him "America's Hitler " was none other than his VP pick JD Vance.
