With the amount of TDS from some in that country, I don't think there is a level that they won't stoop too to demonise President Trump.

They don’t need to stoop to far. Trumpy boi does a good enough job of demonising himself!

Oh Andy's alt... Kamala's still ahead in the polls (see https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com...2024/national/). Though, I appreciate that you're already prepping to call the result a sham

IMO a big thing going for the Democrats is the 'anything but Donald' vote. Given Mr Trump's behaviour when he lost the last election, a lot of people have serious concerns about him as a human being. Those who actively support him (rather than rusted on Republicans) are either mischievous pro-Russia/China peeps (like you) or far-right US nationalists. As an Australian, I am neither of these...

What do you think of one of your all time favourites supporting Harris ?

Yeah it's a bit sad mate from my perspective. But like everyone Bruce is entitled to his own opinion.

Tell you what if I wrote off all people from the arts who don't like conservative politics I'd be in a pretty lonely place. The 'progressive' side attracts them, possibly due to them being ideologues in many ways themselves. These guys don't really scratch below the surface imho.

I was just interested as there doesn't seem really any back lash against the artists supporting the Harris campaign but back when the Dixie Chicks criticised George W Bush over the Iraq war there was a huge back lash against them.

I think America and the world was changed after 9/11. Any response to such terror was justified to mainstream Americans, as I've said before "all bets are off" once terrorism hits. So their comments weren't welcome by many. So it was issues based rather than personality as with President Trump.

As I said above there are so many 'artists' who are on the TDS bandwagon there would be too many to call out! I can only assume it's because he is a successful businessman (not a career pollie) who is too edgey for some regardless of his achievements. Think it's more personal than practical the level of outspoken dislike of the Don.

I know this comment will rile up the Dem supporters but there's only one thing that will beat the Don in this election now.
