Anyhow....my Trump Derangement Syndrome doesn't get in the way of some cold hard facts......

The swing states that Biden won in 2020 were Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. This is where the election will be won and lost. At the moment theres hardly anything Trump and Harris in these states. Going into the 2020 the polls had Biden way in front in these states, yet he really only fell in. If you draw a comparison between these states now and in 2020 then its logical that Trump would be a slight favourite to win
    Good points.

The other dynamic for people to be aware of is how different the electoral system is to ours. The big one being non-compulsory voting. So even if polls indicate a swing one way or the other, cats still have to get off their bums and vote. And some states (Nevada poss) have postal voting only I think. Which is bizaare, and also a bit scary in terms of integrity assurance.

In line with this, there is a school of thought that them perty young thangs with their progressive ideals and uni eds more inclined to vote Kammys way ....can be lazy little buggers when it comes to casting their votes. Dunno, could go either way.

Australians have got to be very wary of not falling down this rabbit hole. Compared to the US our voting system is very very relaxed- however it works and we always have a peaceful transfer of power.
In the US their voting systems are extremely secure. Check out their postal voting scrutiny https://bipartisanpolicy.org/report/...s-safe-secure/ and compare it to ours (which is basically requesting a postal vote, filling it out and sending it back in- no checking of signatures or the like).

There was a reason why 60 plus election court challenges by the Trump team were dismissed-most by judges he appointed. Then there was the Georgia farce where the republican governor Raffensperger did everything asked of him to find voter fraud and when nothing was revealed Trump asked him to "find 11,780 votes" needed to overturn the election. I know TDS....but it actually happened.

If the will of the people votes Trump in again then it needs to be respected. Yet Trump is still grooming his supporters to believe if he doesn't win then the Democrats cheated. Dangerous stuff-leave it with the crazy Yanks

You are such a combative, adversarial thing arent you? Even when someone tries to give you a rap.

Have to pick up on that sorry bud. I've worked "very closely" with our electoral systems for a few years and can assure you though (not oerfect) is probably the best in the world.

Unfortunately America is not what you describe and is open to the fiddle. And it's actually been admitted to by past officials quite disturbingly.

steady on, random is making valid points. it's hard to have a rational argument with you. anything which puts trump in a bad light you describe as 'evidence' and 'links'. it's better to be sceptical about everything you read, rather than anything you disagree with

Kamala is such a lightweight. Her followers are beta humans. Obama, Clinton, Kennedy and his brother all were excellent democrats. The party has flipped its values. There are only losers, criminals and Ber in Sanders left. TRUMP 2024. The great white hope as my favorite black pastor calls him.

Ridiculous rumor mongering. Trump was not a tyrant during his first term and has clearly stated he has no interest in that for his second term.

rumour mongering? hang on, not just rumour mongering, but ridiculous rumour mongering ... trump's attempt to bully the republicans in georgia to give him votes in that state is on the public record. ask the georgian republican who spoke at the democratic national convention.
trump's casting doubt on postal votes is on the public record. it's not rumour mongering. do you think the republicans wouldn't be rorting the system if it was easy to rort? surely both parties are as happy to cheat as the other

Kamala (pronounced comma, punctuation then la if anyone doesn't know) will destroy that orange headed fool who has his head shoved so far up his backside he can't see daylight.
Hear Hear James! I’m not convinced she will actually destroy him but sure hope she does.

Jack, I'm not criticising our system—it works for us. There's rarely any dispute, and as I said, we have a peaceful transfer of power when needed. What I’m pointing out is how thorough the U.S. postal voting is compared to Australia’s—it's a night and day difference. While we’re on the subject, in the U.S., every state requires ID to vote in person, but in Australia, you just provide your name and address, which is checked against the electoral roll—no ID needed for federal elections. Overall, I believe our electoral process is safe, fair, and accurate.

I disagree that U.S. elections are openly rigged. Who has ever admitted to mass fraud in U.S. elections? There’s been no credible evidence of it. After the 2020 election, multiple investigations, recounts, and audits found no widespread voter fraud that would have changed the outcome. Even the U.S. Supreme Court rejected legal challenges due to lack of evidence. Election officials from both parties, along with agencies like CISA, confirmed that the 2020 election was one of the most secure in U.S. history.

The first time I heard about supposed mass fraud was in 2017, when Trump, without evidence, ordered the creation of the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity to investigate how Hillary Clinton got 2.9 million more votes than he did in the popular vote (which doesn’t win you anything). That commission, led by Mike Pence, was disbanded in 2018 after finding no evidence of fraud. The next claims of mass fraud came after the 2020 election, again from Trump, and again without proof.

I don’t care if Trump wins the next election or not—it doesn’t matter to me. But casting doubts on election integrity weakens democracy, and that’s dangerous. Let’s leave the circus in Washington—that’s all I'm saying.

Fraud? How about George W Bush and Al Gore in 2000?

When we see Kamala absolutely destroyed in the debate people will see what she is. Trump, Kennedy and Gabbard are a formidable team.

Personally I'm not right wing, nor am I an extreme leftist. I'm team Trump.

There is no chance. She wouldn't win a debate against anyone.

The Debates going to be interesting, and could have a big influence if either candidate implodes. Not that I think thats likely with the Don.

Kam wanted to bring her notes with her to the podium (seriously). Watched one of Don's ex-Advisors on the telly this morning. He made an interesting point on Kammy. Shes been shielded from questions from the media since her candicacy was announced. She's only been quoted on "Joy" and her values, although these too.remain yet a mystery. As an ex-prosecutor all her rhetoric is akin to a closing statement. No substance or detail...he reckoned Joe public will see through that in a debate format.

All Don has to do is focus on his achievements as P compared to her failures as VP, and he sprints away.

Yes I agree. Facts will win it and are on President Trump's side. The democrats have done everything they can to destroy him and even tried to assassinate him. Yet the great man endures. He is an exceptional communicator and public speaker with an amazing team behind him. I would say The Donald is licking his lips in anticipation for the debate.
