Americans are a different animal. Since the Columbine School shooting which shocked the world in 1999, there have been 418 school shootings. Yet nothing has been done- by either parties. All we hear is "thoughts and prayers for the killed, injured and their families".

JD Vance after the recent Apalachee shootings that gun violence is "a fact of life ". Trump said after the Perry School shootings to "get over it". Both statements may seem harsh, but its American reality.
So considering nothing is done to protect children from gun violence, why is it a shock when a political figure gets shot at?

Last time he based it on the size of his rallies, but this time Harris rallies dwarf his- of course not that it matters either way. So what are we basing it on this time? Not the polls- Harris is in front there too. Definitely wasn't the last debate. Wont be any future debate, he chickened out of that.
