It is pretty crazy I agree. I will say that when Trump was first elected I thought wtf? this is going to get wild. But bugger me, he delivered a master-class in one of the toughest gigs on the planet. I was gobsmacked! And since then I admit I love his humour and showmanship and lack of PC. But many just hate the persona and will never like him. I think he's refreshing and wish we had more leaders not just churned out from the party machine. He is, whichever way you observe it, a game changer.

Which policies were you impressed by? I think the reality is quite the opposite to what you claim (with zero substance/examples, though your persistence is admirable).

Initially I thought 'all these greenies / arts students were peeing their pants about nothing... like... sure he's not a leftie but he won't be any worse than Dubbya and co. Democracy is such that the right and left both get a go so there's no use getting too worked up about an outcome.

However, the reality was that he delivered nothing (can't think of one useful achievement), appointed right wingers to as many public positions as possible, degraded confidence in US institutions by spruiking conspiracies (including COVID + democracy) and embarrassed allies by taking weird/controversial stances on various issues (e.g. trade war with China, muslim travel ban, attempting to buy Greenland...etc).

In terms of delivery, he presided over the longest shutdown of congress ever as he simply couldn't get his budget over the line (including for that stupid wall he was gonna build... but eeerm... didn't).

This is before I touch on matters such as him being a convicted felon (for electoral fraud), anti-abortion and pro-Russia.

Noting again that not even John Howard supports Trump, I think it's extremely difficult to argue that he's delivered anything useful, and his style/policies/affiliations do not pose a liability. Personally I don't look forward to China blocking our imports every time the clown has a dummy spit at them over some ridiculous matter. Putting my conservative hat on... I like it when our trade conditions are more stable/predictable and there's a bit of common decency when it comes to matters such as diplomacy & respecting democracy/public institutions. For conservatives, that's simply not there with the Daaanld. Hence why he's behind in the polling despite the world going through a substantial shift towards conservatism.

We'll see how the election goes. But I mean... if it were rigged... why would Trump be a chance of winning? I'm glad we all agree the election is not rigged, even if Trump's too childish to admit it directly

Right so basically all you can do is cite his propaganda directly with a focus on how he's (supposedly) kicked a heap of 'illegals' out of the country.

You then make various theoretical claims with no factual basis, along the lines of 'crime would be better if Trump were in power'. This includes Trumps 'more to this' claims, such as saying that withdrawing from the international framework for Iran's sanctions (again showing a lack of diplomatic nous) was a good thing. One could write an essay on why it wasn't but it feeds into my above points about him having no regard for international agreements/institutions, which leaves allies exposed as they're like 'uuuum... yeah we all agree to a staged removal of these sanctions in exchange for greater transparency/cooperation... except the US!!! Yep they're our ally and... oh fark not again...' Research BRICS... this is exactly why Vlad loves playing to Trump's ego... not because he's friends with Trump [hint: he's friends with Iran who love it when the USA goes batty like that as it throws a spanner in the works for other democracies].

Happy to discuss further if you disagree. However like your alts... you seem to lack the ability to debate and instead throw unedited propaganda at me in the hope of provoking a reaction. Power to you I suppose, if you have that much time on your hands.
