Ugggh, the woman who lives below us fancies herself as a gardener, i bought some plants back from the backyard of my parents house which had just sold, i had them up the back out of the way in a bag where they could dry out before i planted them, she took it on herself to put them in a bucket of water , only thing was the bucket she put them in was what she washes her car with and of course the plants were soaking in soap suds which killed them just about straight away, i still have a bit of the root of them but i doubt whether they will grow, they went from vibrant green lovely leaves to prickly dead in a matter of a day. I have told her what i think of her and it wasn't very nice.

That would annoy me so much Horrie. I’ve had neighbours organise trucks to do work at their place which have run over plants on our pathway border before and it really annoyed me so I know how you feel. Especially if you were planning to transplant them from your parents house too.
I actually took a bit of fish bone fern from the garden, that used to be around everywhere in the 70 s but you don't see it as often these days, i potted that straight away when i got home and put it on the balcony, now that does remind me of my mother and it is close to the door so i can see it.

Why can't places that sell snow cones or flavoured shaved ice not have orange flavour anymore, ? even though i'm old now i love the simplicity of a snow cone on a hot day and orange is by far my favourite flavour but it seems out of fashion now for all these fake coloured blue flavoured ones or bubble gum flavour, i don't mind raspberry which hasn't seemed to go out of fashion but i struggle to find orange anymore.

Going through the Christmas cards to send out this year, have a lovely Australian one featuring the Opera House, Botanic Gardens and native birds, had it picked out to send to someone last year who are not on the Christmas card list anymore so going to send it to friends in England this year.
