I’m taking the wife to sunset boulevard at the opera house next week, anyone famous in that? I bought two tickets hoping her niece was free to go, and I could go watch the roosters v raiders, but alas, her niece cannot make it.

i know nothing about the show, it starts at 1pm, and really hoping it finishes by 345 so we can scoot over to Allianz for the game

Sarah Brightman who is famous for her role as Christine in Phantom Of The Opera is the main star , it also has Tim Draxl.
You will be pushing it to make it to Allianz as the running time is about 2 hrs 30 mins.
We are going to see it but not till October, originally planned it for then as it would have been just after we got back from our over seas trip.

Gee she must be getting on in age then?

with the intermission i highly doubt I’ll make the match, will just have to pop into a bar after the show.

Yes i don't know whether the intermission is factored into the 2 hrs 30 mins or not but either way you would be flat out making the game.

Sarah Brightman is 64 years old so perfect age to play the subject matter of a faded movie star. The movie done in 1950 with Gloria Swanson and William Holden is a classic.
I hope you do get the main star Sarah playing the part as i heard she is not doing matinees but i think she was referring to Tuesdays when there are two performances on the day.
