Mr. Walker...what happened? You snubbed me

Walked straight past me, I said Connie!...then Con and you looked at me and took off like a fear strickened deer! I wasn't going to harm you or ask you to account for yourself. Just wanted to renew old acquaintances...

(P.s. didn't want to start a new thread for this, so plonked it here).

I thought that was your name. Ah I've left the building, sorry, some other time.

The grey beard might have fooled you .

What a difference a day makes, the better half said when i walked in the door after the game, your sunny demeanour has gone, yesterday you came back from the football ( the Shute Shield ) all smiling and happy but today and understandingly so you look dark and gloomy like a grey storm cloud, was totally spot on there with that comment.

I soaked in the great view of the sunset from the upper deck of the members before leaving after the game as i had a bit of wait to my next bus home according to the bus app. Beautiful view from up there.

Let’s be honest mate. Most WNRL games have that feeling about them.

Hope not! I did a 30km run on Sunday with 21km at my target marathon pace (the big day's getting close!!!) and the wind was insane.

For those who know Canberra, I started in Belco and went down William Hovell, past Black Mountain. I then wrapped around Lake Burley Griffin (including a bridge to bridge 5km) and then wrapped back to Weston Park, finally arriving at the in-law's place in Yarralumla for a father's day lunch.

The run was farking wild as it was a 'race prep' test of whether I could hold my target marathon pace after a hectic week. I did... JUST... however it felt like there was a constant head wind and waves were crashing over me as I went around the lake. Add to that ~350m of incline in total (my marathon only has 50 over the 42.2km so is pretty much completely flat) and you get the picture.

I hear the wind will settle down tomorrow. Hope so as I'm out walking our corgis right now and it's frigging cold!!!

Oh Izzy I was already tired after doing my morning mountain climbs and Tyson push ups in the cold morning sunshine we have here in Sydney But reading this has made me even more tired and has me pumped to now go downstairs so my squats followed by a light run and then a light swim

All this exercise talk is making me hungry.

Buffalo chicken burger with chips and a lemon squash should do the trick. That will be my go to lunch tomorrow on a lovely warmish spring day here in the Berra.
