I noticed how silent 08 was with that when someone’s family was attacked with false allegations Yet jumps in straight to that same posters defence for an innocuous comment

I have no issue with 08 defending a fellow poster being harassed. I do the same and have defended some of the not so popular posters here over the years. But being harassed is no justification for fabricating stories and others encouraging it.

I also hate the term woke. It’s like a substitute for not having to explain one’s thoughts - oh it’s so woke. It’s just wokism gone mad etc etc. Actually defending someone who’s being harassed because they are different (in the minority) is probably considered woke. It’s probably why I hate the term so much. I tend to support and defend those who are in the minority or disadvantaged. It’s on these issues I am progressive and somewhat a leftie. The biggest problem is you need a strong and healthy economy to address these issues properly and this is where I’m definitely conservative. So it’s a hard balance and it’s why I don’t identify specifically with one side overall. It kind of depends on the issue and the circumstances of the time.

On tariffs Trump is such a hypocrite. He made his billions expousing the benefits of no government interference and letting the economic free market do its thing. Also funny how the ASX has taken a hit today with his tarrif announcement. Does this mean share holders and investors think this is bad news for the world economy or is it purely a coincidence?

Andy - I've blocked you and suggest you do the same since for whatever reason we don't exactly gel. This includes your alts. I appreciate that these accounts vehemently deny being alts. However, we're talking about a small number of likeminded accounts that just so happen to share identical political/social beliefs, inhabit the same threads and use the same insults when dealing with me. For all intents and purposes you're the same thing - blocked for being a nuisance over an extended period of time.

Can I just say as a mum to a young adult on the spectrum, autism spectrum disorder it is NOT a mental health issue. It simply means the brain is wired differently, not incorrectly or wrongly just differently to the majority norm. My son is not bothered by his diagnosis. In fact he embraces it.

I have friemds amd family on the spectrum so anyone slagging off on or having a go at someone who might be neurodiverse is not cool at all.

I havent noticed any of that, not that I have read all the posts (some of which may have been deleted) but some of the other fightclub stuff has got me eating popcorn.........Wonder how long this thread will last?????

Yeah it can be about being left handed! Ive already mentioned Alan Jones having a bat- he may be a leftie

I used to amazed at those who bowl right handed and bat left handed or vice versa....but then came along Jemma Barsby (some may remember her dad Trevor ) who is a genuine ambidextrous bowler and can bat left or right handed. Even more amazing is she was diagnosed with MS 10 years ago. There's also a Sri Lankan Kamindu Mendis who can bowl with either arm

Some of my friends I grew up with batted left handed and bowled right handed and even one vice versa.

Sometimes it came down to who your favourite player or how your Dad, Mom or older brother or sister made you take your stance. It is amazing how the body and muscle memory adapts....

That is insane re the Sri Lankan bowler, I cant say I have seen him play. I don't really watch a real lot of cricket now apart from highlights and a bit here or there when I have nothing to do....

Dave Warner can bat right handed pretty well....

I actually could kick with either foot playing footy coming through the juniors and could even goal kick with the left or right foot. Playing soccer helped and I was amazed by Mike Eden and practised really hard to kick goals on my less favored foot.....

I play touch footy (not very well lol and do get intercepted a bit lol) and can throw a pretty long spiral ball both sides, its a pretty good party trick lol......took a lot of practise and understanding body position with the hips shoulders etc to be able to do it........I did practise it a lot when young. But when I dont play or practise for a while now, it takes a bit of repetition again to get it right. It doesnt feel as natural as my left to right pass......

I don’t think Andy has attacked anyone for being neurodiverse at all. He is genuine when he says he knows a lot on the spectrum and talks to them regularly. Being a mum to a son with a diagnosis, I am confident he has much respect for them. I also don’t recall ism claiming he was neurodiverse anyway, but it’s not like I read every post ever posted on here.

No of course not. It was at the Narcissist. I've literally dealt with dozens of students who are legitimately on the spectrum. They usually warm to me naturally because I'm kind and communicative in various ways. I've also had quite a bit of training.
