Just because they were overturned doesn’t mean he didn’t do it.

Seemed like a hatchet job. Some of the allegations were physically impossible to have occurred due to location of the victim/offender at the same time. One boy later admitted he made the whole story up. So there was a "Pell" of doubt cast over the whole case. But the baying mob with their pitchforks and lanterns got their man. Nothing new of course, it's happened throughout history.

My point is that just because someone gets off, doesn’t mean they are innocent.

Random dumbass questions is back, I'm not going to engage with your lowbrow lefty intellect. I am surprised you are back at all after getting the Trump landslide victory so wrong. #leftieslosinit

I'm not a Jones fan but people do in fact make things up.
There was a teacher at a small country school in the Riverina when we lived there that was accused by two girls of sexual assault. Lost his job and family, wife and two kids, I think. In the end he killed himself as he couldn't live without them. The two girls then admitted they made it up because he had punished them for some wrongdoing.

Back to Jones. It comes down to power and how much of it he wielded and the fear that went with that. People too afraid to speak up because of possible loss of job etc. He doesn’t command that power anymore having lost his radio and TV jobs. Political parties, politicians and crooks sucking up to him for their own selfish reasons meant his power kept growing.

That's a very sad story. Truth is ultimately more powerful than lies, but by God they can do some damage. I think it was Mark Twain who said ' If you tell the truth, you never have to remember anything'.

Agree, but this isn’t isolated. It’s been going on for years. He was asked to resign as a teacher at King’s schools due to inappropriate behaviour. So many ex students from his time as a teacher have spoken about his inappropriate behaviour as a teacher. I just read another article from a journo who was asked to do a story on him and he was brazenly behaving inappropriately in front of her and two others with a young late teen boy who was a photographer’s assistant.

100% . Wouldn't shock me if it's all true but we must presume innocent until proven .Don't like how they parade people and name them before

I didn’t like that either. Not a good look at all. Also it’s actually detrimental to the trial not just Jones himself. The media really needs to just shut up or it could cause a mis-trial.

In the late 80s he got arrested for having a bat in a well known gay public toilet but got off (no pun intended) in court by saying he had been standing at the toilet sink with his trousers unzipped and had not been doing anything untoward. Instead, he had been washing his hands in the hope that vigorous motion and the flowing tap water would help him overcome difficulty urinating,

One of his best! In the end spanking the monkey in a empty urinal that was renowned for gay sex didn't deserve getting arrested for.....but it was the 80s and in England
