He sure can run....200m in a time of 20.04s, I think it was a legal time.

If so then he broke Peter Norman's 56 year old national record from the 68 Mexico Olympics too,

At just 16 years of age.

I am putting it out there, I think he would give the great Hutch a run for his money.........

100 percent Jizz, waited a lifetime to witness hopefully an Aussie male who will contend in the Olympics and Worldchamps Blue Riband sprint events....

He is still growing, his start and action remind me of the great Usain Bolt. Probably better suited to 200m as a slow starter due to his height (but 100m, performances are just about as insane) he has sheer speed and the advantage of long limbs just like Bolt. It is exciting to see how he develops.

Hopefully no major injuries or bad choices in life strike him down.....

Guot attends Ipswich Grammar (Uncle’s old school) which falls under the clubs pathway system. Nick would be proud seeing the schools colours on the world stage. Hopefully Nick gets a jersey on him for a promo at least.

I’ve heard the man himself refer to his name as Gout Gout.

And to think I once thought Darren Clarke (or that pretty boy whose schlong made all the headlines around the same time) would be our next sprint medalist at the Olympics. And more recently that over-hyped sprinter, Steven Solomon who never really made it internationally.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Yeah I had the similar hopes for some of those blokes (Clarke and Shirvo) though I did doubt any of them were going to be a serious contender to win the 100 or 200m. But I thought they would have done better than what eventuate for them their careers in the 100 and 200m.

However, Darren Clarke turned out to be a world class 400m runner, finished 4th in the 400m final in Seoul in 1988. I think one or two of the medallists, who were all from the USA got busted for doping not long after. I think in that final there might have been a couple of sub 44s times which was rare back then. I think Clarke might have run low 44s in that final which was his best ever 400m run.....

Max Purcell (2x grand slam doubles champion in tennis) just got busted and suspended for 'irregularities'.
