Just wishing a Merry Christmas and safe travels to all my fellow chookpenners. Hope you all have a great day with your loved ones. Sadly there’s been a bit of tension here of late but let’s not lose sight of the main reason we are all here, our support and love of the mighty roosters. Here’s hoping for a more peaceful and happy 2025.

Been a different year for me, having lunch at the Sofitel Wentworth in the city, not even doing presents till we get home.
Everyone have a safe and peaceful Christmas and don't over indulge on prawns and Christmas pudding.Comment

We have two Christmas's (25th Dec 2024 and Orthodox which is 7th January 2025) - mmm double the presents - Mrs Salvo doesn't buy my that the present is for both Christmas's so it's always two presents.Comment

In between rounds at the beach house. Turkey, lobsters, prawns and salad... done! Pudding's on its way.
Glad I did a 24km run in prep. More room for food and booze.

Hope everyone had a great day with their loved ones .
The buffet lunch i went to at the Sofitel Wentworth hotel was superb, the seafood was divine , great oysters and prawns but the Moreton Bay bugs were the standout, the carvery and meats were excellent, porchetta , ham, turkey and lamb shoulder, the vegetables and salads to were good, i would actually say it was the best appointed buffet i had been to, could not fault a thing and the alcohol just kept on coming. I was in a food coma only after and hour in, it was just so good,
Was still full when we got home so skipped dinner and in bed just after 8.30 pm
Today went down to a very quiet Marrickville Metro and picked up half priced shortbread from K Mart and half priced turkey from Woolworths.Comment
