Putin's war on Ukraine is not about Nazi's , NATO or anything else he pretends it to be.

People forget that the Balkan States all joined NATO in 2004 - Estonia , Latvia and Lithuania who all have borders with Russia and that Finland joined NATO in 2023 which has the 5th largest border with Russia - Ukraine 4th - No Invasion or Russian angst about that.

With Putin it is all about Ukraine Resources including oil and natural gas plus Ukraine Agricultural lands ( Bread basket of Europe) , The warm water port of Sevastopol ( Annexed Crimea ) HQ of the Russian Navy Black Sea Fleet ( It doesn't freeze over) and to install a puppet pro Russian Government in Kyiv.

Trump the Putin Puppet is also after Ukraine resources , oil and natural gas - oh give Ukraine some weaponry in case Russia invades again but zero security agreements to assists Ukraine if Russia did attack again.

US have ceased all military Aid to Ukraine as well as ceasing to provide them with much needed Intelligence on Russian Military movements etc - Trumps Mate Musk said that if turned off Ukraine's access to Starlink Ukraine will lose the war.

Trump has shown his cards - Agreement with Putin to carve up Ukraine for it's resources - plus Trump says that " He thinks Canada would be much better off being the 51st US state" and Trumps latest tweet on X that he wants Greenlanders to decide whether they want to become part of the US or not as if they do he will make them rich.

Why the Interest in Canada and Greenland by Trump people may ask - Both resources rich including oil and natural gas.

Tariffs is a given more Government Revenue plus Federal and State Taxes.- The Consumer pays.

There has been no strong condemnation by News of the Zelensky episode nor of the tariffs issue therefore, it is risky for Albo to respond forcefully, as Canada has, to the tariffs. That response has Trudeau likely to win the Canadian election after being dead in the water for the last year, and that could/would work similarly for Albo but it's not an option here. News would insist that it was a betrayal of our "protector" by traitors. Tories need to protect the ANZUS fiction at all costs as it is essential to the Fear thing in OZ.

We can see this sort of cognitive blindness and delusion in our appeal for tariff exemption on the grounds of us being really, really good mates. It went on for days, a sense of laughable incredulity permeating the whole exercise - "Hey, excuse us America but there's been a big mistake. We're Australia, your besties.
