Not sure re meaning here but presume that you're suggesting that there is no evidence of corruption on the young idealistic copper's part? I would guess that your defence (that of there being no proof) would not apply the the Greens or to the ALP.

We are getting a foretaste of msm unreliability with this bank shares episode. Given the scoop, News had to print it but the next day's headline was the paper's muckraking charge against the ALP - no surprises there and that's why Randy is probably correct about the scandal, and it is a scandal, having little effect. Besides that the Sheeple are not confident about understanding most issues let alone financial ones.

What they are very much capable of understanding, however, is fear and our msm has gone overboard on the Chinese flotilla "invading" our seas. No mention, of course, of our activities (in the service of the US) in the South China Sea. Now the media, without any evidence whatsoever has added a nuke submarine to the flotilla and the regime change hacks are now out in force.

You'd think that people like Hartcher at the SMH would pull his head in after the drubbings that Keating has handed him in the past but no, he knows that the Sheeple love to be afraid, that their attention span is pretty much limited to the present and even then info is not at all well understood. They would understand, however, the implication that this is a huge ALP "security" fcuk up. Certainly not a diversion from "Insider Pete's" share dealings.

Some like Jax and 08 would be questioning why we haven't sunk the Oriental bastards as we would have done with a strong leader like John Wayne or P. Dutton,

What a sad figure Jaxie is. A country boy from Coonabarabran come to the city for work, the Nats having failed to provide local employment after decades in power. Like Bobby Bare's working class song classic "Detroit City" he finds a mirage. Bitter but unbowed, like Bobby Bare, he creates a world of fantasy, a palliative - where a John Wayne or a Clint Eastwood together with super patriot Murdoch lead "Straya" to sunlit uplands where Palestinians collectively pull their heads in. To give meaning to the loser reality he invents links to Biker gangs who monster annoying abos implying that there is grassroots muscle to back up our own John Wayne should he ever appear. A sort of "Proud Boys Down Under" chapter.

The truth, as I imagine it, is far different. No prospect of John Wayne taking over, no Bikies, Muslims everywhere, the club in the arvo then a shaky return to the bedsit with a cold take away. A bitter harvest groundhog Day all together.

      • Liber Paddo is like the mouse that roared - never be one to shout it out loud - Not sure what world Liber Paddo Live's in - seems to be several parallel one's

Kiss - Shout It Out Loud (Live From Tiger Stadium)

Great Doco about Gene Simmons ( Chaim Witz - Born Haifa - Israel - 1949) I saw recently.

His Mother (Florence) a Hungarian Jewish person was one of only two family members to survive the Holocaust - her Brother Larry the other one.

The Wife of the Commandant of Mauthausen Concentration Camp gathered a few of the Jewish Women together and asked if any could do make up and hair for her , the wives of the male guards and the female guards - all put their hand up.

She then asked who could speak German - a Few put their hands up - they were then taken away and never seen again - Even though Gene's ( Chaim's) Mother Florence could speak Fluent German she knew not to put her hand up that day.

As Gene's ( Chaim) Mother often said - "Every Day Above Ground is a Good One" - She lived to 94

Nope on point, as foreign affairs is an election topic, especially antisemitism. No idea how the Duke (John Wayne), Clint Eastwood, Bikie gangs and a Country and Western singer in Bobby Bare, whom only you and I would know about singing a song about Detroit City, would fit in with this topic though.

A veteran of 50 years of teaching you say - ancient or modern though - would love to see the results of your students' exams - mmm, how many passed - Gene Simmons was a teacher too - teaching history in Spanish Harlem.

You would never fit in under the new regime in the NSW Department of Education.

Here's a better song about Detroit City.

Song 1 Kiss Alive II Detroit Rock City - APR.2,1977 "BUDOKAN HALL"

There's no statute of limitations on insider trading. In any event it's a real nothing story. It wont lose Dutton 1 vote or gain Albo 1 vote.

Really both the candidates are pretty boring....but considering what's happening around the world i think boring is a good thing!
Um Paddo’s post was dripping with sarcasm from what I could tell.

                            • Caz's is a voice of reason here. After all, the people gave the best "everything" managers ten years. They were good years admittedly, we had a long time where we didn't have to worry about any woke climate change action though there were minor irritants like Muzzies and Chinese spies everywhere. The old and infirm and the unemployable were given a good solid kick in their fat arses with Robodebt, we knocked back the uppity boongs and we poked China in both eyes over Wuhan because they were not friendly to our best mates who then took over the trade in our commodities that China had forgone in retaliation.

We also had inspiring leadership during that sunlit period - Michaela Cash, Foreign Minister Marise Payne, the Lioness of Beijing, Dan Tehan, Bridget Mackenzie and the Godfather Peter the Wolf of Bligh St who demonstrated how to get rich very quickly. Alas those days are gone but the business now is to "boot out this mob" whose appalling record I have detailed at #1.

                              • Not sure that the Libertarian Centralists on here will vote for Laboring On - more likely to vote for a small I/L Independent. i.e Teals - Teals because they are a mix between the blue of the Liberal Party and the Slime Greens so called environmental movement - mmm if such a thing still exists - the Slime Greens are more red than green.
