  • Labor romps in in the West. Despite Kerry Stokes' best efforts, the very conservative, whinging, community over there couldn't see any value in that lacklustre Lib outfit. Stokes did manage a swing but the old heartland failed to respond in the numbers required. Looking good now with the election date yet to be announced.

Albo is definitely roaring back - the storm PR has been magnificently handled. The early assurances (all by Albo personally) that everything was in hand - the military resources, emergency accommodation, food supplies etc and the man himself was the Energiser Bunny, Mr. Everywhere, while Dutton was on the bubbles 1000 kms away. That's "born to rule" stuff and shows that wealthy arrogance just presumes inviolability - Do what I say, don't bother with what I do.

The sheeple know fcuk all about politics but they have a mawkish but deep sentimental attachment to the Aussie samaritan. In Albo they see a man working his arse off for them with humility, quiet confidence, and dare I say, strength. I'd go as far as thinking that this Brissie flood and Albo's strong masteful presence has even turned Jax around. Like a vision appearing out of the misty gale and the thundering rain, Albanese radiates strength of the type that The Coat has been publicly yearning for.

Say wha...not good enough Jax? The Libs woulda done it better and cheaper eh?

        Are you also communist?

Where did you learn to read and write? You have a very poor writing style that does not mix well with your mental shortcomings. How did you become so wealthy? Marriage I suppose?

Well, as I had Mr Dutton as my avatar, I thought to be fair I should give Mr Albanese a go too. To make my political neutrality very obvious.

Lol, and what a fine photo you chose of Mr Albanese to demonstrate that.

There we go...this was Mr Albanese as a younger man in his more overt activist days. The seeds of a strong leader with loyal Aussie values were beginning to grow in this impressive young man.

                          • I wouldn't read too much into the WA results. Libs took back a few seats that they surprisingly lost in the last election (like Carine, which was held by the Libs since its inception in 1971). They ambitiously were aiming for 14 seats all up and presently on 5 (last election they got 2 to Labors 54) with a few seats still up for grabs.

I know this is going to ruffle a few feathers here because Sky News Australia did their absolute best propaganda stunt trying convince their viewers that Mark McGowan was trash tormenting their residents, and while it worked for the eastern state viewers it didnt for the voters in the west...... because the truth is he was an excellent premier who did an excellent job and the people rewarded the sitting government, now twice. He turned the state around from 8 years of waste under Colin Barnett to a beast economy.

Roger Cook has also done a great job and deserves 4 more years he is getting.

However....WA is a different economy and a world away from those sitting on the east. Even though in general food prices are higher in the west the cost of living is so much higher in the eastern states- eg power , while we pay a bomb where they have a domestic gas reservation policy, state-owned and controlled electricity markets, and a capacity market, which helps keeping prices low and ensure supply.

I think cost of living will be the biggest issue in the fed election and i dont think either side can bring it down- despite what they say. Housing wont decrease substantially enough in metro areas, nor will rents. I think that we have to just accept that the capital cities are expensive and you will need to go further out if you want to buy.

Im no economist but i say vote for the party whose lies will least affect you!

                            • And change that dumb footnote while you're at it. Murdoch beat up this anti semitic nonsense which he used to great effect on Jeremy Corbin in the UK but being Anti Zionist is different thing, there are many, many jews who are anti Zionist and who proclaim the fact publicly at Palestinian rallies.

We have an absolute nutter, however, in Mark Leibler the fanatical Zionist lawyer from Melbourne, the one you see on TV all the time fulminating about the dire emergency that has Jews hiding in attics and drains. Murdoch has given him a big leg up, beating up, as News has, a few graffiti incidents and a synagogue fire that was probably the work of a young meathead fascist or perhaps a handy op for an insurance job. The caravan "anti semitic bomb threat" has also been pretty much exposed as a beat up but all that encouragement has gone to Leibler's head. Last month he went the full lurid with an excoriation of Jews who who were not on side with Israel. "Self hating....vicious anti semites" he called them apparently not realising that the outburst itself was/is anti semitic. Fair enough, anti semitism all around us and the ALP ain't doing anything about it like they didn't do anything about that Chinese "flotilla" sailing in International waters off our continent.
