Not correct re the anti-semitism. The bloke behind some of the attacks camps overseas at present and is openly a Jew hating Muslim. But he isn't behind the hate preachers videos and street comments; the Oct 7 hate riots; weekly hatespeech marches; medical staff preaching anti semitism online etc. etc....so you can pick your anti-semitism adventure in Oz if thats your thing.

Weekly hate speech marches in OZ? Where is this happening Jack? If these marches are calling for violence against the Jewish community then i'm with you- they got to be stopped and shut down for good. If they are calling for the end of genocide in Gaza, then it comes under freedom of speech- something that conservatives love to throw about when it suits them

Meanwhile in Israel...as reported by the Jewish Chronicle

      https://www.thejc.com/news/israel/is...nyahu-wftw9xpj

If this happened in Australia im sure Sky News Australia would be calling it a hate march and crossing live to Dutton who would condemn it and vow if elected PM to protect all Australians from this sort of terrorism.

      • If you are a betting man(or woman) the markets have shifted back to $1.90 each for a Liberal/or Labor victory.

So hope you didn't take the early odds on the Coalition, or well done if you grabbed the $2,50 plus Labor.

There will be more shifts obviously with the Budget brought down tomorrow, reply speech Thursday and the election likely to be called this weekend.

Fk it feels like a long campaign already!

Despite your criticism of Sky/Murdoch, I think its great that you keep your subscription up to date. All contributions help.

            • Following a resounding win last night over the Panthers, Anthony Albanese has taken that winning feeling in a trip to the governor general to call the ‘Upcoming Federal Election’

                • We have until May 3rd to endure the msm's attempt at regime change led by Murdoch but ably abetted by the rest of the right wing media. With the ABC spooked by News Ltd, there's little hope that it will not dare to be an independent voice but as the WA election showed, the majority is not listening or behaving as hoped.

70% of the vote is rusted on to each the main parties so our political future lays with 15% of nongs with no interest apart from what's in it for them. Not that the major party voters are much different, especially that working class vote for big business which gives them nothing apart from "patriotic distractions".

The biggest laugh comes from watching Palmer's comical "Trumpet of Patriots" which enters an already heavily contested field which includes the coalition and rabids like Lambie, and Catter . The good news is that that ignorant voting group is further fragmented - there aren't enough nongs to go around. Not enough left of those whose political opinion only extends as far as "I like the fat bloke or the funny bloke in the cowboy hat". There aren't enough because the coalition/media has captured most of them. Always surprises me that, even in the poorest of proletarian electorates, 40% of voters are rusted on to the Libs/Nats - a triumph of hope over experience in anyone's book.

                  • Dutton's "reply" to the Budget was fraudulent hypocrisy which will, no doubt, find plenty of champions in the msm and which might yet work for him. What was hypocritical?

                    * "The Party of lower taxes" knocking back a tax cut.

                    * Dutton railed about the Government's energy rebate proposals in parliament and now we get the promised cuts to the fuel excise - essentially the same thing. As it is, the fuel tax rebate will favour business and the rich and it is only for a year but the dills who bought the GST years ago won't register that, detail is never their forte and they never remember that they've been dudded.

Overall, Dutton’s “Budget reply” was simply execrable, full of wild assertions, contradictions, half-truths and blatant lies, a very Trumpy exercise in “flooding the zone with shit”, impressionism politics for the morons right down to suggesting Anthony Albanese was responsible for a machete being held to someone’s neck.

If one had to select an example of how bullshit-laden Dutton’s speech was, how divorced from reality it was, it was his repeated claim that he would lower inflation.Memo Pete: if you lower inflation from where it now is, we would have a problem. Inflation has fallen. It is in the zone it should be in. Wonder if the msm will explain that to voters?

The only two concrete housing policies the LNP has are (1)allowing access to superannuation, which increases buying power and therefore prices, and (2) scrapping the Housing Australia Future Fund which over five years will deliver at least 30,000 new social housing dwellings.

Of couse, anything that smacks of public or social housing is anathema to the Liberal Party. Too bad about the fifth of Australians who have been priced out of the private market.

In short, after 1,000 words, Dutton’s campaign launch/Budget reply was another exercise in impressionism politics. No detail, just an image. It was rubbish.

but, as I say, it may work well for him.

                      • Dutton's "plan" to force gas exporters to reserve more supply to the Australian market is bullshit. The Multinationals to which Little Johnny Howard gifted the Natural Gas resources scream sovereign risk at any hint of any proposed amendment of the original sucker deal and it was that. At present Multinats get $150 billions worth of gas royalty free. The Feds collect more money from HECS debt than it does from export gas royalties. Amazing isn't it? That was down to the Libs.

By contrast Norway and Sweden, also massive gas exporters, have amassed an ocean of royalty money which makes up a national Sovereign fund which pays for free education /health and all manner of welfare provision because they were much smarter, Social Democrats not shyster Capitalists and, clearly, more committed to the population's best interests. Effectively, those countries dared to stare down the Multinats unlike the best PM we've ever had. Just shows the Libs obsession with the quick buck for which we are now paying a motza, and we own the stuff.

I understand now what our media means by the Libs being the best managers NOT. Of course, as usual, the bewildered Sheeple couldn't give a shit. It's that apathy born of ignorance that is so annoying and would probably be unchanged even in the event of our msm informing us of such minor things.

                        • Someone said on page one that they were certain I'd be voting liberal.

                          Well done!

There's no way I could vote for speech-impeded, spittle-flecked liar like Albanese.

$150 off my soaring power bills ain't gonna do it.

                          • As usual Liber Paddo leaves out pertinent facts and contradicts himself.

Gas projects in Commonwealth waters between three and 200 nautical miles offshore are not covered by state royalty regimes but, rather, the federal government's Petroleum Resource Rent Tax (PRRT). - 40% tax on rents related to the extraction of natural resources of petroleum, gas and condensate.

The Australian Gas sector paid 17.1 billion in taxes in 2024.

The Scandinavian countries are well known for their high taxes across the board as nothing comes for free as someone has to pay for it.

Europe doesn't need Russian Gas then and Europe won't freeze.

mmm you back the slime greens though whose policy is " No coal, gas or nuclear"

You are rather confused at times as we all know and contradict yourself quite often.

Which healthcare cover do you have Jacket?

When the dung hits the windmill and your coat gets stained, I hope you’re adequately covered. Not just the run of the mill cover where you still need to catch a bus to Westmead (or drag yourself if after hours). I mean the obscenely expensive one that all true blue blooded nats get just in case their tractor topples over, that one.

Shellite or ‘white spirits’ might get you through
