And fgs what a shocker of a name for a political party...bloody hell whoever thought that one up immediately costs them votes. Hard to take seriously.
clive's very second rate. trump's kind of unique, even in america. not sure his personality goes down so well in oz.

part of trump's attraction (at least to his supporters) is that he speaks from the heart. he's a bit like scarface's tony montana - 'i always tell the truth. even when i lie.'

Surely Australia can find a rising 80 year old obese man who wears a ton of makeup, is utterly devoid of personal morals, who cheats in business without remorse, spews sexist and racist rhetoric, lies as easily as he breathes, and pursues only what serves his own selfish interests.

I can just imagine a Aussie PM tanking the economy by 10%, reversing his decision and then stand in parliament house surrounded by billionaires and pointing out how many hundreds of millions each one had made from his about face. Tough titties for peoples superannuations and the average investor- they can wear the loss.

I'm obviously no fan of Peter Dutton but if he wins the election then his success will be Australia's success-so i'll wish him the best and want him to succeed- i dont give a fk what party he is leading.

However Jack if your waiting for a Trump-like Australian PM i can tell you it isn't going to happen in our lifetime- Australia is a different animal to the USA.

Side note- and this is just my opinion....if the Libs lose the election then they can thank Scomo for it. He cost Josh Frydenberg his seat and ultimately the position of opposition leader. Frydenberg is very switched on, competent, likeable, personable and has great leadership skills. Albo and co may have dodged a bullet with Frydenberg on the sideline

Why do you and Ism22 keep using the word "obese" about President Trump? He's far from that, pretty impressive for a man of his age and public scrutiny actually.

If only he could fall upstairs or off his bike, off a stage, fall asleep during official engagements, stare open mouthed blankly .....more often, I guess he'd be in better shape.

He has lost weight and looks terrific. Fools.

                    • whether or not he's obese is the least of his issues but if his defenders are saying he's charles atlas then for the record i wouldn't say he looks terrific. he's overweight, with a body mass index that would be pushing obese levels ('obesity' is lower than what you'd think).
they say he wears a girdle, which would mask his real body shape.
on the positive side he gets around alright for someone of his age. he was the oldest president ever to be inaugurated

                        • President Trump has released his official doctors reports and, for a man his age, he is in rude health. Lost 20 odd pounds, still plays regular golf, doesn't drink alcohol, does interviews at 2am. He even asked specifically to have a cognitive test done (which Sleepy Joe obviously didn't) and got 30/30 questions correct. I reckon when you add the pressure he has been under in his country by the media, the judiciary and the fake stitch ups every which way, would have crushed most individuals. He is a pretty amazing man.

                          • I guess thats why Albo doesnt have anything negative to say about Trump!

Its not just Australia he is making a mark- the conservatives were $1.07 to win the Canadian election when Trump took office…..they are now $3.50 outsiders.

That's because you're not in the cult.

Tune into any Murdoch media outlet on any given day and you'll quickly notice a predictable loop: anything positive is credited to Trump, anything negative is blamed on his opponents, and anyone who dares to present facts that reflect poorly on him is swiftly accused of suffering from "Trump derangement syndrome."

                              • I have mail that Dutton's seat is polling closer than he'd like, with some polls suggesting Labor's gonna flip it this time around.

Seems unlikely but I'm sorta curious what the Libs would do if they won but Dutton got kicked out with some sorta protest vote going against him. Hopefully he gets punted unceremoniously, with the Libs copping a wayward falcon in the process... similar to Dutton's recent attempt with a Sherrin
