What's ironic is that...

- Whatever Putin has paid, it's absolute chicken feed compared with the US economy. Trump is driven mostly by pride/status and will accept any terms so long as he gets to look like the big man.

- The guys sitting around either supporting this cr@p or actively spruiking it were the hard @rses who played tough guy on foreign influence (particularly from the KGB/CCP...etc) when it suited them. However they're the sellouts right now!

- These 'hard @rses' are all scardie cats who can't stand up and say 'IMPEACH THIS CLOWN ALREADY!!! This is terrible economic policy and we're gonna be the guys tasked with the repetitional damage / clean-up efforts when an 85 year old Trump retires to his stupid resort (or has a heart attack). We don't need a 'department' named after a crypto currency scam, run by a childish billionaire who made his fortune from slavery in South Africa then lucked out on two tech investments... firstly Paypal (which he wanted to call X and turn into a social media network) and then buying a 13% share in Tesla as it was about to take-off due to generous Californian renewable energy incentives (pure luck). Yes... we can sack both, double down on conservative principles [church, family, trust in established institutions of democracy and economic conservatism kinda stuff], prevent Trump from pardoning anybody else who's been a 'yes man' and draw a line NOW... coz in 4 years the damage will already be done and his predecessor will be unelectable as the world will have moved on.

UN condemns unimaginable suffering of Ukrainian children at hands of Russia

GENEVA, March 21 (Reuters) - Russia inflicted unimaginable suffering on millions of Ukrainian children and violated their rights since its full scale invasion of Ukraine begun in 2022, a new report by the United Nations Human Rights Office said on Friday.
"Their rights have been undermined in every aspect of life, leaving deep scars, both physical and psychosocial," said UN Human Rights Chief Volker Turk.

Even Mrs Salvo, who is pro-Russian, doesn't believe all that Putin says.

Mrs Salvo's parents in Russia are still waiting for the infrastructure to be fixed where they live - roads. sewage, gas, electricity - Money allocated which vanishes every year,

Dirt track roads and homes still without electricity, gas and still outside toilets and no sewage systems - the old pan-style/bucket toilets which they empty themselves - get real about the Putin regime.

Mrs Salvo's parents are better off than some having a decent home with gas . electricity and sewerage (Mrs Salvo's grandparents' one), but without Mrs Salvo sending them money, they would never be able to live on their 225 USD a month pension as prices for everything have risen.

The Medicines Mrs Salvo's Mother is on they could never afford to buy in Russia on such pensions.

However as i have said before, Trump won the election in every swing state, he easily won the electoral college vote and he won the popular vote. He said he was going to shake things up to the core....and that's exactly what he is doing. This is what America voted for. He will either rank as the number 1 US president in history by a long way, or the worst by a long way. In Australia we have the luxury of sitting back and watching it all unfold.
