I don't normally get excited about this sort of crap but I went to Taronga today and I got all misty when I saw the new born baby elephant.
What a little HUNK!
I thought I saw you guys near the giraffe enclosure, both immaculately adorned in your Roosters jumpers. I was gonna say hello but I thought it mighn't be who I think it is.
He is a beautiful little fellow,i want to go to the zoo again soon,i love the Gorillas and the Tigers and the Red Pandas and i admit last time i went was the first i had ever seen the fishing cat awake, what a stunning animal.
I did a behind the scenes tour last year and we went into the giraffe enclosure,i used to think giraffes were just boring creatures but to be able to hold a carrot out for one and have there long tongue take it from your hands was amazing. Also went into the wombat enclosure and watching one of the males try to mate was hilarious. We had lunch out the back somewhere where they have a few animals not on display and they had a cute little quokka running around[this was after me telling someone from our group who was from WA that Taronga didn't have quokkas].

At a football club, there’s a holy trinity – the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don’t come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques.

The fireworks at the Easter show are making more noise than the crowd tonight

Horrie, want to go to the zoo with me while I'm visiting as I want to see the baby elephant & giraffes.
Don't be afraid to step out in the rain. Take a chance. Sometimes the only way to get your rainbow is by getting wet.
As the saying goes, twos company threes an orgy WA, but hey whatever floats your boat.
I did the zoo thing with the kids and wife last year when we were in Sydney, it was really fun actually. I was pleased to learn you can get beer there now, I didnt feel like carrying an esky all day.

That's good news, nothing worse than lugging an esky around. Never been to Taronga & always been meaning to go everytime I come over but never got there so when I saw Horrie's post & being the friendly gal I am, made the suggestion.
When I go to Perth zoo, I hang out at the meercat enclosure & also the honey bears.........so gorgeous!
