Oh, not a Canberra quirk then lol.

Going past three of the four posters today that were up on Friday, three have already been defaced, they were all Labour ones and Albos face was scribbled over.
Liberals were putting up posters at the roads around Marrickville Metro today and a couple of Liberal staffers giving out pamphlets between the two centres when i was down shopping, no one was taking any notice of them the five minutes i was watching them from across the road while i was waiting for an order to pick up, mind you it looked like they weren't trying to engage with anyone walking past.

The posters or the election? The posters are so wasteful and take over the capital during the election campaign period. They did crack down on the rules recently and I think I remember correctly that each candidate is now limited to only 250 posters each!

Haha, yeah as I just said to Andy it’s so wasteful. It’s like when you go into vote, I try to avoid everyone handing out the myriad of how to vote flyers.

This is all wonderful , but words and slogans don't fix things .How are they planning to do this , with what funds etc

The Slime Greens can "promise" all they want as they know they will never be in Government - thankfully

Not sure why Liber Paddo is backing the Slime Greens as he is the type the Slime Greens despise - the well-off and asset rich.

Daft Slime Green Policies include a 40% excess profit tax on corporations with a turnover of 100m and over.

From retained earnings, dividends are paid to individual shareholders and super funds that invest in share portfolios etc, This would have an effect on superannuants during the accumulation phase and in retirement as folk still invest their superannuation pay-outs post retirement.

Such a tax would also affect economic growth , unemployment would increase and corporations would shift their capital and HQ overseas to more favourable tax destinations.

Bandt probably think's he's Robin Hood - taking from the "rich' to give to the "poor" - Historians have came to the conclusion that Robin Hood was either a figure of folklore and legend or a composite of multiple historical folk who were in fact thieves and highway men that kept the money themselves.

You probably purchase things from Overseas from companies that pay no tax in Australia - Company Tax or GST.

Scare tactics from the Slime Greens as they hate folk that make a quid and it's their Marxism - Leninism ideology that always brings them undone.

These corps are the biggest employers - tax them more and they employ less people simple as that and your super takes a hit as well with the reduction in retained earnings.

Stats are from 2021-2022 but would likely be paying more tax.

I am forced to put a number against the Slime Greens but always put them last on the house of reps ballots - Strange that well to do posters of the libertarian laboring on's variety on here would put the Slime Greens higher when their current wealth is at odds with the views of the Slime Greens ideology as Commo/Socialist Anti Capitalists.
