We had a Royal Commission in 1996 on the Australian paedophiles living,or holidaying,overseas..

Justice James Woods chaired it and they netted Robert "Dolly" Dunn among others..

It's a disgrace. Politicians protecting paedophiles. Happens all over the world. My only problem is that we should not contain the investigation to the Catholic church. Maybe that's why these politicians are so hesitant. Could open up a Pandoras box.

Yes , I remember. Silly how it takes a Royal Commission to get get some justice for these crimes.

And that raises another question. Who would leave their kids with a Catholic priest in the first place? Surely people cannot be that blind to NOT know what is understood to be happening??? Do you risk your children by the possibility of exposing them to that sort of stuff? Not mine!

Stop trying to deflect the issue,& instead confront the serious issue within the Catholic religion..Serious crimes against minors,of a sexual nature,on a massive scale, have been committed over centuries,by the LEADERS of the cult..

When the Children of God cult were exposed for the paedophilia they committed, the Catholics were rightly disgusted by it & demanded prosecution through the courts, yet when it happens within their own ranks, they want to deal with it " in house" (lol)..Why the double standards??..Why the hypocrisy??..

And also why should they be immune from questioning,& prosecution themselves, on their treatment,or lack of it, of the issue??..
That's exactly the point I was making with my original title to this thread, the peadophilia within the Catholic Church is institutionalised, the culprits protected for no other reason than the survival of the institution itself ie the Church. Dirty old men gravitate to this institution, trusted with unfetted access to minors, your word given more prominance than a childs in the community, it's a haven for kiddie fiddlers. And kiddie fiddler apologists. The bloody church should have their trillions in assests frozen and confiscated, sold to fund the victims of this institution.

            Chook.

P.S Have their tax excempt status permanently revoked.

It is a major bugbear of mine that this country doesn't have a clearly defined separation of church and state like America & France, among many others..

I have major issues when religion dictates policy in any way, shape, or form..

The fact that Fred Nile has political power disgusts me..

Mate the Retardlicans in the US are trying to blur the lines between church and state and do not underestimate the political ambitions of George Pell. That putrid ncut can't wait for the other putrid nuct to gain power.

                Chook.

If people want to know if religion dictates Tony Abbott's politics then I direct them to RU486 which was banned while he was health minister because George Pell was against it.
