                • This is now my official favourite song of all time:

"The One You Love" Glenn Frey

"Are you gonna stay with the one who loves you?
or are you going back to the one you love?
someone's gonna cry when they know they've lost you....
someone's gonna thank the stars above..."

Actually, Eagles music with an orchestral background should be something else.

Brilliant band and one of their best here in my opinion.

Glenn Frey's Sydney show on Friday night was one of the most moving, classy concerts I've ever been to. The man has the richest voice I think I've ever heard live. Plus he has a wonderful sense of humour. He dedicated "Lyin' Eyes" to his first wife..apparently her name is "Plaintiff"..oh dear...
He performed some songs with his own band and then the Sydney Symphony Orchestra joined them for some other tracks which included Peaceful Easy Feeling, Tequila Sunrise, Smugglers Blues, my new personal favourite The One You Love, a jazzy version of You Belong To The City, which I now have a new appreciation for instead of just thinking of it as a soundtrack number, Take It To The Limit and some old torch standards from his latest album After Dark. Now I read in the paper that The Whitlams are again performing with the Sydney Orchestra the week after my birthday so I'm going to that as well. Have already been before and it was magnificent so can't wait to go again.

And I thought I had a good memory. Good to see you replace Sympathy with Symphony you'll have to go back through the posts for that one.

Regardless of age and time, some musicians/bands are still a class act. I saw Pink Floyd in 1995 without Roger Waters but they were still brilliant.

Here's a couple to sit back and enjoy.

"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

                        • I'm dedicating this to a special friend who kept me in the loop during Roosters games whilst I was living away from home. I'm back now and so very ready for round one!

                              • Watching Status Quo on Channel 9 this arvo. I used to play 'guitar' with my sister's tennis racket to their albums.
