Merci RWB......Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't have good musical taste.

Hopefullly we will be singing this tune after the GF in October...this one is a little left field...a bluesy acoustic version of Queen's "We are the Champions"

Hold that thought. In April 2010, a few of us went to Campbelltown on the Roosters bus when we beat Wests 10-6. As soon as the bus arrived back at the club, that came on the radio so we stayed on the bus and sang it, saying how great it would be if we made a grand final after getting the spoon the year before.

I used to be such a big fan of Kim's. I still play her a lot. Here's another:

                • I've had this in my head since I saw Tracy Mann in Wonderland on Wednesday night. Another TV show set in the beautiful eastern suburbs. This is her miming in one of the greatest 80's TV shows from the ABC, Sweet and Sour. If only they'd release the series on DVD:

That one is a very special song and I can't believe I almost forgot it. I love the lyrics:

"You came, and changed the way I feel
No one could love you more
Because you came and turned my life around
No one could take your place"

                    • A very underrated ABBA song and one of their best. It's annoying ABBA Gold, the Thankyou For The Music box set or any best of disc only has an edited version of the song and when it gets airplay on the radio it is the edited version too.

Yes and history says we made that Grand Final....2010 was indeed quite a ride.

I am hopefully holding that thought until the October Long weekend and hopefully we can have a victory songs thread up and running sometime on the holiday Monday....ok all you Horries put that one on the 'to do list'.

Believe it or not my two youngest girls like Kim Wilde....I showed them a youtube track or 3 of her. She was a favourite of mine in the early 80s....Shazza O'Neill was pretty good too.

Those 2 ladies inspired me to wear large amounts of eyeliner in the 80's...I never go near the stuff now..

Here is another favourite girl from that era:
